We just had our bathroom remodeled and we decided to get a Kohler innate to elevate the modern look we were leaning to. Our contractor had a designated plumber who did the installation. With its beautiful, sleek design, it doesn't take up space. We love the height comfort. Sitting in a low toilet seat, all hunched is the thing of the past with this design. The remote control is a no-brainer, not confusing at all. Make sure you have it hooked up where it's convenient for you to reach out, minus the struggle. The minute you sit on the toilet seat, the deodorizing wand starts working and stops the minute you walk away. The bidet itself has a front and rear function and does the job but honestly, when you do the doo, you still have to clean up a bit when needed. The bidet is still very helpful. The water flow is perfect. There is a dryer feature. It may not be super strong, like hurricane strong. You'll still end up grabbing 3-4 squares of toilet paper to pat yourself dry, but it is a wonderful added feature. Less paper usage really! It flushes when you get off the seat. Or, you can manually (using the remote control) choose the eco flush or full flush feature. I The flushing efficiency is A+-- it's actually great. The seat has a tushie warmer and a choice of temperature, 1-3. The seat lights up at night. In terms of value. Even with the slashed off price, it is still overpriced. But you get what you pay for. But i really do. Its such a nice experience. Lid opens as you approach, the flush is quiet, its comfortable, features are wonderful. i wish the remote was a little more high tech or easier to press, but otherwise, its a very enjoyable experience. Much different than the 10 year old, standard toilet we replaced. Great buy, just a bit pricey, but we love it so far. ... show more

Flushing is relatively weak but get the job done. Electronic buttons are not that responsive. Comfortable seating. Deodoring function is great.

Perfect every way. I never knew what I was missing until I got the Kohler Innate. Easy to install and has more features than I expected. Nothing is worse than a cold toilet seat in the northeast winter. I plan to add 2 more to the other bathrooms over the winter.

    • Kohler dropped the ball with this model

Kohler really dropped the ball with this design. The manual is terrible. It doesn’t tell you all the parts it comes with, it does not describe or identify these parts, and does not tell you all the parts you need. The manual says to install the electric plug to the right and the water connection to the left. However, there is no access hole on the right for the electric cord as there is on the left. This of course would be a non-issue if they allowed this to be hardwired such as their other toilets, but they removed that feature on this model. Now I need to move my electric receptacle to the other side of the toilet. I’ve now priced that even on their website, there is a photo of the toilet with the plug to the left, unlike their install manual. This toilet is HEAVY. If it’s going in a small water closet that is off of a master bathroom, it’s very difficult to get in position while two people hold it (one on each side). The shape is sleek with nothing to hold on to, except two holes on the back of the toilet. You can’t access these holes when you get the toilet in position against the wall. Kohler boasts about their easy trapway mount system which looks like a very easy install. However, after placing it in position, the side holes on the toilet that you screw into the sides of the Trapway to secure the toilet, do not lineup and the toilet remains loose. In addition, their website says, “Patented ReadyLock® installation system eliminates the need to drill into the floor”. This is in contradiction with their manual which says to drill a hole in the floor to secure the back side of the trapway. As long as this toilet has been available, there is not one single video on YouTube that talks about the install. This is ridiculous. Remember when I said they don’t tell you what is included? It comes pre installed with a water hose connection. After the install (which was VERY difficult), it turns out the water hose is leaking. So now, it all has to be uninstalled and repaired. One thing that is REALLY frustrating is that after paying $2500 for this toilet, they should have included the required T bolts in 5/16” (which my local hardware store did not stock) and the TINY Allen wrench needed to fasten the remote control to the mount. They don’t even tell you what size Allen wrench it requires. These both would have cost them about $1. I would NOT recommend buying this toilet. I will say, after speaking with Kohler, they offered to have the toilet repaired and reinstalled under warranty. They have good customer service. ... show more

I bought this toilet-bidet for the master bath, because of the Kohler brand and it was on sale at Costco. I've spent easily $1000 for the installation, because the toilet has a straight back, so if your supply valve is not far enough, no backwall curve, which is standard with other brands, is provided. The toilet, althouth it's advertised as elongated has limited amount of space for comfortable seating. The delay on the dryer to kick in is tens of seconds. If you are not a top notch programmer and can work through unclear directions, the toilet will flush again once you leave, regardless if you flushed it or not. After wasting serious money, I'm going to remove it, and install it in a secondary bathroom. ... show more
