    • Not just any old toilet seat….

Ok, so I’ve graduated from clunky “fast-close” toilet seats onto liking the quiet-close variety…but I hate sitting my bare butt on plastic, and hate even more that every other seat I’ve found has more of a seam where the lid connects to the seat…there aren’t actual hinges with an opening so you can clean underneath. Anyway, sitting on those seats feels like pooping on a couch. This is 100% the best toilet seat for toilet seat connoisseurs, like me. It’s wood composite, not plastic (yay!), and legit hinges with an opening between the seat/back like a old school floppy seat—so it’s easy to clean underneath yay!). I’m giving 5 stars even though the first one had a paint flaw on the lid. It’s replacement is everything I dreamed of and more! ... show more

    • Finally found what I've been searching for.

The seat is great. I had been looking for a wood seat that included a slow-close feature and couldn't find any until now. Like most seats it was easy to install. And, the quality appears to be very good. Just glad I could find a sturdy seat with a slow-close option.

    • Great toilet seat, but missing one listed feature…

I just received this toilet seat and installed it. I have mostly good things to say, I will have one negative comment… The seat is solid and seems well built. Installation was easy. It arrived in perfect condition. It feels nice and solid and has a nice weight to it. It is a simple handsome design. The soft slow closing mechanism works well. I have only one negative comment, and that is that this listing indicated that this is an easy to clean model, specifically that it had the quick easy release hinges, like my prior seat had, so that you should be able to unsnap the seat from the toilet to clean around the bottom with the toilet seat completely removed. The box that this arrived in indicated all of its features and does not mention that feature, even though this listing does say that that feature is present. Now that I have installed the toilet seat, it is clear that that feature is not included in this model. Instead of it being that easy, one would need to spend a solid five minutes with a screwdriver removing the seat if one wanted to, and instead the seat will just not be as easy to clean, as it is not reasonable to remove the screws each time the toilet is cleaned. The toilet seat is otherwise a five-star product, but I am deducting one star for the lack of this feature which was listed as being included in this product listing.     • What Can I Say - Toilet Seat Review!

I've come to the conclusion that toilet seats do matter and the in this case brand matters. Kohler is simply at the front of the list. I went through two lesser makes of toilet seats and they either did not stay tight or they cracked, and one refused to stay UP, which caused all kinds of other issues at 1:30 a.m. That said, as generic as it looks, the Kohler seat is sturdy, well-constructed, and closes softly as advertised. And this one stays up. A bonus. Easy to install, easy to clean, and it looks good. Make sure you know your bowl, elongated or standard round, so you get the right product fit. Spend the couple of extra bucks so you don't have to revisit this one. ... show more

This elongated Kohler Toilet Seat installed perfectly onto my Delta Toilet Bowl - in almost no time at all. While I don't generally stand around and admire toilet seats, it's a good looking item. I like the wood - it has a sturdy substantial feel to it. My butt just reminded me that the seat is comfortable, for me. Nice enough, nothing fancy but not super cheap feeling. But man does it close slow and there’s no adjustment. And forcing it closed just feels wrong. But it’s a toilet seat so what can I say

I love this seat. The old one was plastic and would pinch my legs. This one is a better fitting product and very well made. The first one was scratched, but the exchange process was so easy and fast, I had the new one in a couple of days.
