As others have pointed out, the picture colors tend not to be bright and true to life (unless you're really close up on the subject and in very good lighting) but this kind of plays into the charm of the retro-looking photos and it wasn't an issue for me. The camera is super easy to charge, use, and reload, and it's easy to carry around. Since it has an SD card, you can give away the pictures you take and still reprint more for yourself later or download to your computer instead of only having the one chance. I'm using it to capture fun moments with friends but also to catalog what I'm storing in some small cardboard boxes: just stick the photo on the front! It's a really cute little thing and every time I've used it around others, people have asked me what model it is because they want to get one, too. ... show more

My husband got me this as a gift after I delivered our 3rd child with complications. I had an extended stay in the hospital and this made me excited and brightened my mood. The color is so feminine and chic. I love the red and pink/peach combo. He also got the pink case to go with it. I'm not a fan of wearing pink nor having pink items/ accessories, but this is very lovely to have. The overall photo quality has a blue tint, but the photos are instant and tiny. Its Great for wallets and scrapbooking. My children love the instant photos. Its not the best for long distance photos, but its great for portraits and group photos. I definitely need to get more photo paper because i want to start scrapbooking and these will be perfect for making memories. ... show more

After reviewing several cameras for our 7 year old granddaughter this one came out on top. We gave it to her for Christmas and she loves it! It’s rechargeable, compact and simple enough for her to charge, load and print film and save photos to the SD card. She loves all the accessories and gave each of us a photo in the little frames for Christmas memory. The quality of photos is great and her photographer grandpa is very impressed. We love this camera! I did a lot of research before purchasing an instant print camera for my 11-year-old's birthday. I knew that overall it was a fun novelty item, but I also knew I couldn't invest in endless amounts of film, so printing photos that we didn't want was going to be frustrating. Having looked into so many different models (at least those in the less than $100 price range), I had resigned myself to the fact that it was what was going to happen - she'd have to learn to be judicious with her photos and also we'd just use an SD card for when she didn't have film. And then, JUST before I purchased a different model, Amazon suggested the Kodak Smile - and it was EVERYTHING I was hoping for! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that it has a screen for viewing the photos and she gets to pick which photos she prints. That was the ONE thing I was wanting in an instant-print camera. Of course, she loves getting to use it to take photos of her friends, and our vacations, and she's building up a small scrapbook with her prints (the Zink prints, btw, all have a sticky back, so they can just be stuck right into the book). And the option to review photos and re-print allows her to print multiple copies for friends. Now, I'll have to put the caveat that the photos are not the highest quality - I knew that was going to be the case with any of these cameras - but, again, she's 11, so it's good enough for her. Also, it's a little finnicky in that, in order to save a photo, you have to click the "OK" button after you click the shutter. That takes some getting used to and she's lost a few favorites when others were taking a photo of her, because they didn't know that feature. Finally, I was a little disappointed in the "filters" options - there are only black and white, sepia, and blue. And the only "frame" is either a white border or no border. I thought there would be some more fun things to play with in those, but that wasn't a deal breaker. Overall, she's very happy, and so are we! ... show more

Kodak Smile Instant digital camera is fabulous and exciding, I was so excited when I heard that Kodak came out with such a cool device. The smile camera is equipped with a LCD viewfinder fixed focus making it very easy to smile, point, shoot and print! I love the automatic flash feature so when you are in low light it automatically flashes and comes with a 10MP lens, what makes this point and shoot stand out is the editing suite this cool camera offers when you take an image it will save (device is microSD compatible and you can save up to 256gb of memories!) the picture before going into edit mode, there is an assortment of filter to choose from you can choose to add or remove borders on any image. The coolest feature is the FACT that it prints color phots right on the spot with its one touch printing and no ink is needed! Making it easy to share with friends and family (they love the wallet size 2x3 prints, a few are hanging on my refrigerator it is peel off sticky backed photo paper ) the Kodak 2x3 paper is very economical too.
