I’ve been using this while going back and forth between the U.S. and Korea, and it’s been really convenient. It’s small enough to just throw in my bag, which I love. The picture quality is actually pretty good for how compact it is. I didn’t expect much at first, but it works great for watching shows or movies. The only downside is the sound — the built-in speaker is a bit weak, so I usually connect it to a Bluetooth speaker. Once you do that, it’s a much better experience. I love this projector. I have a non-profit org. And this is so easy to travel with and present slides and pictures. So far so good. The picture is clear and bright. I don’t see the need to buy the more costly models, but you don’t know, what you never had 😊

    • Qaulity compared to similarly priced projectors.
I purchases my Kodak LUMA 350 a month ago and have used it to teach 2 classes at my workplace. Both classes were 20-25 people in size. I had it plugged in, so I cannot speak on the battery life this small projector boast. However, I was surprisingly powerful for its tiny size, and when used with my tiny (10") tabletop tripod I could blow the image up to 90" with no issues with clarity. I haven't experimented much above 110" display size only because at over one-hundred inches diagonal image, It's more than enough for any indoor room. Honestly, compared to my 2016 LG 4K 55" smart TV when you show videos size for size in a dark room, I would say they are comparable. The TV however was $499 and this projector puppy is only $299. Now of course the TV has no background sounds when it runs, and has a way better on-board speaker than the LUMA, but when you think of flexibility with how you can pick the LUMA up and put it in your backpack for a day at a Friend's house or for a party, It has the TV beat. Another thing I found good with the LUMA is that it has a native resolution of 854x480 and can display quality up to 1080p. Though the world is leaning heavily towards "more pixels! higher resolution!", this modest resolution is the same display as videos that are shared over the internet and all movies that are not "4K". Think about how Youtube's quality is, its HD at best (usually 720p seems to be the top, maybe stretched to 1080p for some videos) and this is exactly what all other streaming sites have too. so with this projector the image stays with a 1:1 input > output ratio. MEANING? meaning the videos aren't stretched in any way when displayed. The only thing that keeps me giving this product 5 stars is the mobile app and the remote... So the app cuts out usually within a minute of pairing with the LUMA and its all buggy. The remote moves by clinking pixel by pixel when using the mouse function, this can take over a minute to search for something when using the on-board app. I personally use the HDMI Cable to connect to my laptop and then display from there, that is the easiest way to use the LUMA. Another way that works well is Mirroring your phone to the LUMA, that's super convenient. Overall the LUMA is one i'd recommend. Compared to the Anker Capsule for the same price, the CAPSULE has a much better on-board speaker, but doesn't display as big as the LUMA claims it can. The use of the remote is just as bad (I know cause a friend bought the CAPSULE) but their mobile app is easier to use and doesn't bug out as easily as the LUMA's. I personnally just plug my bluetooth speaker to the LUMA, cause there was no reason to by a projector with a powerful speaker when I have a functioning speaker as is. If you do not have a speaker already, then the CAPSULE is 3-5 times louder than the LUMA and will function about the same up to 80" display (I don't know about higher, cause my friend only runs 80" in their house) ... show more

I purchased the Kodak Luma 350 for the main purpose of transferring art digitally. I was originally contemplating a lower end Artograph. After exploring my options, I chose the Kodak. Aesthetically, it is just modern and attractive looking. Additionally, the unit is nicely compact. I have it placed on a floor tripod, so I can move it easily in my studio. It takes very little space. I chose the Luma 350 over the 150 for the 200 lumens. The picture attached is of an image being projected on a 24x24 black canvas from about four feet away. It is more than adequately bright to accomplish my needs. Set up was straightforward using my iPad, and I was able to screen mirror my image from my iPad to the projector within minutes using the included remote. As far as smaller pieces, I was able to project an image (during the day) on a 6x6 canvas by moving the projector closer and making simple adjustments with the focus dial. It worked beautifully. I am delighted with my purchase. It has saved me so much time and second guessing so I can enjoy what I love to do most. ... show more

Read it first because it has nothing to do with the seller not being nice or the product not connecting to the home wifi. Things like that have zero to do with the product itself IMO. Not connecting to your home wifi may or may not have anything to do with the product. My assumption is generally that "it doesn't work on my wifi" really means "i'm a techno-novice and i couldn't figure out how to add it to my wifi". If you generally know what you're doing then this review gives you what you really need to know. 1. There's a remote that generally works as expected and has basic features you'd expect. It has an optional mouse feature you can turn on. That can be helpful depending on which app you're using. What it CAN'T do is turn ON the device. The power button is only there to turn the projector off. Turning it on can only be done on the device itself by holding the power button down for a few seconds. Likewise, there's no restart option. Turn it on from the device, or or turn it off from the remote. That's it. 2. It's a very basic Android OS, so don't expect all the features your average smartphone has. The app store is likewise very basic with a limited number of apps available. Mainstream streaming apps (Netflix et al) are there, which i suppose is more than enough, and appropriate, considering it's a projector and not a tablet. 3. We've been having trouble with the YouTube app. It locks up and crashes. A lot. Pretty obnoxious considering we use it frequently. Once it starts crashing your only option is to power it off (from the remote) and then power it back on (from the projector). Frustrating. 4. The battery life is terrible, even with the lamp brightness on the dimmest setting. You'll generally get about 1/2 an hour of use on battery only. We had hopes of taking it on camping trips to watch scary movies in the woods. What a bummer that was. Plan on keeping it plugged in most of the time for everyday use, like watching movies and the like. Overall i think most people will be happy with it though. The picture isn't super high def, but it ain't shabby either. Plus you can purchase a (up to) 150" projector screen and the image will fill the whole space.     • It just doesn't work
I had really high hopes for this thing. I needed a portable projector that could wirelessly connect to my computer for presentations, and this seemed like it would go above and beyond my needs; but it turned out to be nothing more than an expensive paper weight. I was initially impressed upon opening the box and turning the device on. It had good picture quality, was already loaded with apps, and navigation was simple; but I soon began to find the numerous catastrophic issues. First, the settings pages feel empty. There are very few adjustments that can actually be made, whether picture or system changes; and this hindered me greatly when I came to the second, and biggest issue; it WOULD NOT connect to any computer wirelessly. For hours on end and over the course of multiple days I tried every possible combination of different operating systems and computer settings; nothing. I tried to research, but their documentation is as lacking as their settings page. They showed HOW it was supposed to work, but there was nothing about what to try and change if it didn't work. I attempted to do a firmware update on the device in hopes to remedy the issue; as these can usually be the cause of such problems. Upon updating the projector, however, anything that had previously worked ceased to function. The few settings there were would sit and load endlessly, and whenever I changed a setting (namely the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) it would load for a few more minutes, then change itself back; meaning it then became literally impossible to use. I tried to email support, giving them the exact details of what the issue was and everything I had already tried, but got a generic response back of "It's probably a battery issue"; which has absolutely zero to do with the issues I was facing. Thankfully, they did send a replacement device; but I had the exact same issues with that one, to a T. Aside from those issues, the apps could barely load and often crashed. The icing on the cake is eventually I gave up and figured "Well, at least I can use it with a cable". While the cable worked fine on my laptop, it failed to do so much as flash or make any sound when plugged into my coworker's Surface (which is the device it was bought for). I don't think this device could have worked any less, and I don't recommend anyone to buy it. If you're considering it for personal use; a smart TV would probably be cheaper and 100% work better. If you're considering it for business, don't; it isn't worth the headache. ... show more

Out of the box this is a great projector. Easy to watch videos even in a lit room. Speaker is great as well. I am having one issue recently. It is not recognizing the HDMI connection to my PC. It was working fine and then I turned it off. When I turned it back on it would not connect. I have not had time to troubleshoot it. I sent a note to Kodak email in the manual but yet to hear back. I will update my review for sure depending how things go in getting it back going. Other than this set back, this is a nice projector. It is portable and bright for its size. If you are going to spend money getting one get the 350. Update. Kodak contacted me and suggested trying another HDMI...that seemed to work as I am back up again. They sent me a new HDMI cord as well. Very pleased with the customer service. ... show more

    • This little unit delivers
The software update is really important, don't skip that! The remote can be weird at times and I don't like how it works in screens that have both buttons and keyboard, until I figured out what the mouse button does on the remote - use it! Beyond that I really don't have any other complaints and every other aspect of this projector exceeds my expectations. I researched the various models available by Kodak and read the reviews and settled on this one as being the biggest bang for the buck and it was the right choice. The screen is bright and even at the larger dimensions on a wall or screen, it still looks great (not just my opinion, others have commented too and wanted to know where I got it and how much it was). I've used the thumb drive port, HDMI port and the built in Netflix app and all work flawlessly for me. I was surprised that this is running a pretty stock version of Android and they have an app store so I could download and install a better photo gallery than what they had on there, which makes this projector more than just a projector! It's like having an android tablet with the projector for the screen (and obviously no touch input). I am super happy with this projector and would recommend it. If you are on the fence about the less or more expensive models, this is the happy medium in between. ... show more
