It has a lot of neat features, fun borders, no boarders at all, or can look like a polaroid. However it is bluetooth, so you have to download an app. , I was hoping for something that could be used without an app. Something you could just plug into and print from any phone, I do not want the app on my phone. The app was giving my son some issues with his phone and it took a while before we could get it to work. For some reason it would not print from the cartridge that came in the printer. It says it was good for 8 pictures, but it just kept saying install new cartridge, we tried taking it out and putting it back in but no luck. This would have been devastating if I had not bought extra pint cartridges since this was a Christmas gift. All in all, I think he will enjoy it and he was thrilled to get it and it will go back to college with him. ... show more

    • Would be a great product if it worked consistently
It’s a great little printer when it works. After using it fairly successfully for about 30 pictures, it’s suddenly become unreliable. It keeps shutting down in the middle of a print job even though it’s plugged in. Maybe it needs to charge longer but the green light by the charger seemed to be an indication that it should be ready to go. Then it demanded a new cartridge despite having 5 more sheets of photo paper (I opened the cartridge once it was clear I couldn’t persuade the printer there were more sheets) in the current cartridge. This makes me wonder if it’s done this before and I didn’t realize it before discarding an unfinished cartridge. The app isn’t great either. When the printer consistently worked, I could forgive the app’s faults but now it’s close to useless. If you’re going to use it, I suggest creating an album of the photos you want to print and cropping the photos into the square BEFORE app. It freezes a lot, which makes flipping through photos and trying to edit them there time consuming. I bought this printer to simplify the picture printing process and right now it’s more frustrating than anything. ... show more

I looked at many printers and decided on this one because it was 3 by 3. First picture got halfway through And then jammed. Second picture was terrible quality and jammed. Third picture got so terribly jammed that I couldn’t remove it from the printer, and the film was everywhere. Returning as soon as possible-hoping another one works.     • Excellent picture quality!
This little printer is surprisingly good! The picture quality is very impressive. Pictures come out like how you see them on your phone screen. It's so cool to be able to print pictures on the go and not have them be super tiny or so washed out like some of the other mini printers. I just wish that the picture paper had an adhesive backside so they could be stuck anywhere. The app is mediocre and we often edit pics outside the app before printing. ... show more

    • Won't connect with phone
There's a lot wrong with the kodak 3 square but most frustrating is that it won't even connect with my phone. I have a normal android device and it should be able to find it but no luck.
