Features

  • 100% Wool
  • 100% Peruvian wool: Made from 100% Peruvian Highland wool, Knit Picks Wool of the Andes is the perfect yarn for projects that will get used daily, like your favorite sweater, hat, or blanket. Peruvian Highland wool is a strong fiber that has an excellent balance of structure, loft, and drape. As a "sticky" woolmeaning the fibers grip lightly together, Knit Picks Wool of the Andes is an ideal choice for both stranded colorwork and intarsia because stitches "stick" in place, wont shift or loosen as you work.
  • Set of 10: This 10-pack includes ten balls of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes worsted weight 100% Peruvian Highland Wool yarn; 50 grams skeins for 110 yards, 1100 yards total
  • Durable and warm: Wonderfully warm for all weather, Knit Picks Wool of the Andes has excellent stitch definition and heirloom durability. As a worsted weight yarn, its a happy medium weight thats commonly used for everything from garments to home goods.
  • Gauge and Care Instructions: For knitting, 4.5 - 5 sts = 1" on US 6-9 needles; For crochet, 1114 sc = 4'' on I-K hooks. Hand wash in lukewarm water and dry flat; yarn can felt with warm water and agitation
  • Color: White is a true neutral, it will go with any color palette as an accent or focal color.

  • Very nice yarn and nice to work with.
Color: Sapphire Heather
High quality yarn. I made a scarf with this yarn and the colors are perfect.

  • Fabulous yarn
Color: Mink Heather
I haven't ever worked with wool yarn before that was not unfavourable to touch, But this yarn has a lovely feel to it and I believe I will be purchasing more for my future projects

  • Soft and easy to work with!
Color: Amethyst Heather
This yarn is so soft and the color is just exquisite. It is also very easy to work with. It does not tangle or twist, I have not found any knots in it either. The yarn also does not separate, it stays tightly twisted while being worked with. Once it is worked up it is warm and soft.

  • Nice Yarn

Great colour and good quality. Reasonably priced 100% wool, pleasant to work with.

  • Great to work with. On the thin side.
Color: Neutral
This is lovely yarn that's very easy to work with. Great deal for wool. However, I wouldn't say it's a worsted weight, it's noticeably thinner. Also, I ordered the neutrals pack and instead of the lighter tan/peach color shown in the photos, I got a double of the cloud (cream color). I'd have given a lower star rating for these minor issues, but it works up smooth as butter! ... show more

  • WOOL OF THE ANDES IS BAE
Color: Neutral
First of all, the yarn from Knit Picks is truly excellent. The quality never disappoints and they always have the most on trend colors in their collections. I love Wool of the Andes for so many reasons, but this is just a review of their neutrals bundle. 1. I know a lot of people are throwing shade on how much yarn you get in each skein, but I've found it to be more than enough for my projects. I think Knit Picks intended this bundle to be used for one single project such as a shawl, baby blanket or a sweater (obviously it works for smaller projects as well.) 2. The colors in the neutrals bundle work beautifully together (as you can see by the pic I've attached to this review.) If you're looking for colors that work well together and transition beautifully into one another, this bundle does that perfectly. 3. This wool is the softest and squishiest, making it one of the comfiest wools to wear around your neck. 10 out of 10, will be buying again! ... show more

  • Pleased with the quality
Color: Rainbow
I purchased several skeins of Wool Of the Andes, for beginning sweater projects and was pleasantly surprised at the vibrant colors and softness of the yarn. I had read reviews from others who complained about yarn being very itchy/scratchy. With that said, it IS wool, (and not blended with cashmere or silk or other exotic fibers to make it super soft - which, would also make it more expensive). I don’t find the texture irritable to my skin, but do plan to wear a lightweight layer under the sweater once it is finished. I am pleased with the quality of the yarn, and price, as it suits my needs for now, and plan to buy again. Attached is a closeup of a Christmas sweater project I am working on. ... show more

  • Knitpicks is pretty good yarn.
Color: Coal
Ordered here instead of their website to take advantage of Prime free shipping. Was kind of disappointed in that some strands are knotted part way through the skein. Not cool.
