Oh man, I absolutely love this knife! It is heavy, but in a good way. It looks great and is EXTREMELY sharp. As I told my wife, you don’t need to fear the knife, but you better respect the knife, especially when washing it. If you get in a hurry washing this beast you will either pull back nubs, a mutilated sponge, or both. This thing goes through potatoes, onions, carrots, tomatoes, etc. like a dream. The only two things I would change about it would be for it to have a full tang and for the blade to be scalloped. Other than that, everything else is perfect. I would buy this knife again in a heartbeat. Once again, I can’t emphasize this enough, DO NOT underestimate how sharp this knife is. **Update** 09 March, 2022: this knife still amazes me every time I use it. It still looks and feels as good as it did new out of the box and maintains a VERY sharp edge. Since I only use it to cut/chop vegetables and boneless meats, I cannot verify how well it would maintain its sharpness if I were to cut bone with it. Regardless, I didn’t buy it to hack bones and for what I use it for I couldn’t be happier with it.

The cleaver is a workhorse and does a great job. I can’t complain at all about its functionality. However, the steel actually gets easily stained. Never had this with my Global knives.
