I thought this was a ceramic knife set when I ordered it originally so I was a little disappointed that they are stainless steel but that's my fault for not reading as carefully as I should have. That said, for stainless steel knives they are attractive and the built in sharpener will come in handy. I got these to replace an older bigger set of knives. I get just the knives we need with this set. No more specialized knives that we don't use.

First and foremost, the all black look is so good and goes so well with my kitchen space and lighting. I am a home cook who is so proud of my basic chopping skills and this knife helped me boast of my skills with my wife. The Santoku made wafer thin onion slices in less than a minute. The bread knife did a perfectly straight number on my baguette and I tested the chef knife and slicing knife on the veggies. Everything made my job super easy and quick. Perfectly happy with the buy.

This knife set was the perfect addition for my kitchen. They even have more pieces than the previous ones I had. So far they haven’t stained at all and feel sharp. Remember to let them dry before storing them. Hoping to get several years of usage.
