Delivered today. Out of the box, did the arm test and damn! Took me 40 years to grow that arm hair and a small patch is baby smooth. I can’t speak to longevity or rust but intend to hand wash and dry so rust shouldn’t be an issue. They look nice. Upgrading the kitchen (not a guy that reviews anything), but combined with the HexClad pots and pans, I have no excuse other than to learn how to cook (Texas dude, I grill)!!! Take care of our “stuff” and they should last longer than we do but best knife set that I have owned. Happy with price and purchase. Also, Ashley mentions flipping the steak knives blade facing ‘up/ or reverse’… makes perfect sense and thanks.. eliminates the sawing action removing/ inserting the knives into the block!

Beautiful set and very sharp. I mean really sharp. The first time my husband used the steak knife he cut himself. The first time I used the chef’s knife, I cut my finger. Go figure. Be very careful when using. Otherwise great knives!

These knives are so sharp that I am nervous about cutting my fingers. I am extremely careful with them. I’ve never had knives like these before. My husband loves them! The block of knives looks perfect on my black counter next to my black stove. Attractive set!

Bought for my daughter and son in law for Christmas. Her sister also bought them a set. Her set looked nice but wasn’t sharp. They loved this set.

I got this set to replace a set I received for my wedding years ago. A few of the knives from my original set ended up breaking at the handle so I knew I wanted something that was metal all the way down (not one with a plastic or wooden handle). The old set was of course was very dull, even after sharpening it several times. This new set feels like a luxury compared to what I was dealing with. It cuts SO smoothly and with very little effort. It's truly amazing! I've been using this set for about two months and haven't noticed any wear and tear (rusting, discoloration, chipping). It doesn't seem to have dulled at all either, although I know it's still really early in its life. You get a lot of different knives that most standard sets don't have (boning and Santoku). The only thing I didn't notice until this was delivered is that the steak knife set only serves six (my last set had 8). This doesn't really impact my day to day though. The set looks really good together, nice and shiny in its black knife block. It's definitely not an eyesore to have it out on the counter. Because some of these knives have teeth and are really sharp, I've been storing them upside down in the knife block (where the blade is on top in the slit and the top of the knife is sitting against the wood). This has kept the blades from eating into the wood and will also make them last longer. These are amazing, I can't believe I wait so long to replace my old set. SO worth the money! I'll for sure be recommending this to my friends.

I love these. They are solid, sharp and look absolutely beautiful. They are slightly on the heavy side but to me that means they are going to last. My mum still has the same cutlery set that we used growing up and these are those kind of knives. The steel handle design not only looks good but it is clearly practical and shows me that will stay in the family for a long time.
