The footprint for this knife set is much smaller, which is great if you don't have a lot of counter space. The knives are very sharp and do the job. My husband and I both like the set....our only wish - that it came with a pair of scissors. Not a big issue - just would be nice.

From the end-radius mahogany handle to a deeper chef blade, design with focusing on the end user in mind classically shows on this set. I love how the blade thickens, and becomes a guard when entering the handle. The knives feel like a perfect fit when in hand. The cutting, dicing, and slicing is effortless with this set. If you are looking for the basic necessities (excluding steak knives) give these a try. Good quality for this price point and you have a nice looking, functional, basic set of kitchen knives with moderate weight to them. BONUS: The "block" looks nice on your countertop!
