The media could not be loaded. Genuinely would appreciate a bigger tube for price. Clōsys Works just as good as any toothpaste. I enjoy it a bit more than my regular brand paste. A Very gentle mint taste and our teeth are lookin as healthy, Even my babies are more enthusiastic to brush twice daily(with supervision nd dental permission) They seem to favor it as opposed to the kitty bubble gum/ watermelon flavor brands. For me, CloSYS is known more for their effective breath-sweetening mouthwash. This toothpaste does that too, apparently neutralizing sulfur compounds. what's more, the flavor is an excellent light mint. In use, it isn't overly foamy as it lacks foaming agents like SLS. (I can't stand looking like a rabid dog when brushing my teeth!) I think foaming agents are just to convince you that it's really cleaning your mouth. I think fluoride is important in a toothpaste, but judging by my and my family's results, not all that effective. (History note: I have heard that the efficacy of fluoride in reducing cavities was discovered in water that was accidentally contaminated by fluoride compounds.) Anyway, this is a pleasant-tasting non-foaming fluoride toothpaste. Now if only it were a little cheaper. ... show more

    • Hold the foam.

I used to purchase this toothpaste directly from my dentist back in the mid-90’s. He recommended it because it doesn’t foam. (I know... toothpaste that doesn’t foam?! How do you know if it’s working?) My dentist explained that foam gets in the way of seeing whether you’ve missed spots when brushing your teeth. Foam, it turns out, serves no function in the tooth brushing process. It’s only there to make you FEEL like you’re doing something magical. There’s not a lot of minty flavor to cover up bad breath either, which means you’ve got to brush thoroughly, floss well and brush that tongue to actually get rid of bacteria that cause breath odor. And when you clean your teeth sufficiently to control the odor, cavities don’t stand a chance in your mouth! One more thing... I used to suffer from the most miserable, humongous mouth ulcers. It was a constant struggle to eat, to talk, to smile... because the pain was so severe. The large raw spots would appear on my gums, inside my lip and cheeks and on the back of, the edges of and beneath my tongue. They took so long to heal, too! Doctors had me taking an array of meds and supplements over the years. Then a few years ago, I realized it had been months since a new ulcer had appeared. In fact, the problem stopped when I began using this toothpaste. Turns out that SLS, the ingredient that makes traditional toothpaste foamy, is an awful irritant. I have burning mouth and tongue. I tried at least 15 different types of toothpaste & most had a flavor or taste that would make my mouth sting. Even though many toothpastes are natural or from better ingredients, the flavors didn't work. I tried brushing w/ baking soda but that made me gag ;)
