Let me say first off I don't put these into the dishwasher so I don't know how well they fare, I hand wash them after every use and so far I've had zero issues! Sharp right out of the box and a vast improvement over my old kitchen knives. The fact that they're a gorgeous teal/aqua color certainly doesn't hurt. The knife block was heavier than I expected and smelled pretty strongly of wood when I first opened the package but that faded pretty quick and now there's no smell at all.
