If you only want knives you can run through the dishwasher, go to WalMart. This brand clearly states a cutting-edge of 10 degrees. If you VALUE the knives and want them to stay sharp and last, your concern won't be about whether or not they rust in the dishwasher because you use crappy dw chemicals; no. These knives, as with all quality knives, are to be HAND washed. That's basic common sense. As for the variety of what is offered, here - it's perfect!! Has all the things you need, and not too much nonsense. The honing steel is the best knife tuner to do the job - all the knife blocks that have the horrid ceramic criss-cross things... no. Good way to wreck your knives. My favourite thing about this knife block, and the ultimate deciding factor for my purchase: the steak knives ARE NOT SERRATED!!! HALLELUYAH!!! Those are so dumb, probably for people who never planned on sharpening their knives anyway, but relying on pure muscle-age to get through anything. Not okay. These are PERFECT!!! I don't know why more companies don't make them this way. If you have an eye for perfection, you might notice the handles aren't quite symmetrical due to however they sand/hone them on. Oh well. These are great, and I also love that they're not the normal grungy dark style that looks atrocious, and so cheap. I got these in white, and they are a perfect kitchen addition, classy and goes well with everything! Perfect aesthetic. Exactly what I want to use!! These are lighter in your hand, but durable. Thanks for making such a great product!!

I'm no knife connoisseur, but this is the best knife set I've ever owned. They look beautiful on the counter. The knives are all very sharp. Please note, you cannot treat these like regular knives, you must wash them after use and be sure to dry them before putting away. Nothing wrong with a little extra care for something this nice. I'd highly recommend.

Didn't realize how dull my knives were until ordered these knives as replacement. Cuts threw anything (including my hand so be careful), can trim fat with precision, slice fruits and vegetables cleanly. More like a surgical tool. Looks amazing as well. Other than loss of a little blood when cut myself first time using (would not have happened with old knives), more appreciative, and certainly more careful, of the quality and sharpness of these knives.

So I have had these for awhile and we just unpacked them this past week after several months in the box. All I can say is that we love them. All I hear is how they feel and work so good. In should have bought a quality set like this years ago. I will revise this review after a while of use. They are not expensive considering the build quality and comfortable feel. They are working well for my home.
