Not strong enough to function as intended. Middle plugs got out of line almost immediately, then the arms got too loose to use. If you do but this, make absolutely sure to only use it when the soil is particularly soft

I like how the aerator is designed, it feels pretty sturdy and it cuts through the soil. The cylinders of soil go upwards and roll out, getting pushed out as more cuts are made. It did not cut as easily as I had hoped though. It's easy to step on the bar and put weight on it, but as a petite person I have to put my full weight on it and almost wiggle it down into the ground by pushing with my leg. So I can't say it's completely knee-friendly, as you may still have to push down really hard (or maybe our ground is just really compacted). I was able to make some excellent holes tho and will continue to do so. Our ground was a bit wet, so perhaps it will be easier on a drier day. It saves us the cost of hiring someone or renting a machine and transportation for aerating though, so this tool is much appreciated! ... show more

This aerator tool is well built and sturdy, it was able to handle a lawn that was about 2,500 sq ft with ease. It was easy to use and although it did have trouble with a couple spots you just need to kick it loose or use a glove or screwdriver to knock the dirt loose. If you’re looking for a cheap aerator tool to save yourself some money that doesn’t take up too much space in your shed or garage this is a great buy!     • Very nice equipment but quality of the pipes lacking
One of the 4 core pipes bent after 3 hours, the aerator still works but disappointed. I still give it three stars because of the ease of using it. The "knee" feature is very important.

    • Cheap, flimsy, don’t do it.
Aerator is flimsy and *will* break after moderate usage. Material is weak and extremely pliable. The blades themselves are even bending after only a few hours. Would not recommend.
