  • CARBON FIBER and DURABLE: Take your guitar on your next trip, whether its camping, hiking or traveling to a place youve never been with this travel-sized guitar made out of durable carbon fiber, composite material that will not warp or crack over time unlike wood instruments. Carbon fiber has a very high strength to weight ratio, which means its tough, resonant, and resistant to temperature and humidity changes.
  • SOUND: The KLOS Travel guitar has rich, loud and resonant with a nice balanced tone. KLOS guitars compare to acoustic guitars from all the top wood and carbon fiber brands. Carbon fiber has a different resonance than wood, which makes the Travel have its own distinct and beautiful tone.
  • VERSATILE: At just 2.88 lbs, the KLOS Carbon Fiber Travel Acoustic Guitar is the ultimate instrument suitable for both experts and beginners. While the KLOS Travel is a compact and small guitar, it boasts a full scale length with easy access to the upper frets that compliments a comfortable fingerboard width and body size. Our design makes the Travel a great guitar for adults and kids.
  • UNIQUE and REMOVABLE NECK: Disconnect the neck in seconds by removing 4 screws. KLOS Guitars makes the only hybrid carbon fiber acoustic guitar with a premium mahogany neck. Our patented gig bag design allows the guitar to be worn like a backpack when assembled or disassembled to easily take on your next outdoor adventure. KLOS guitars are proudly designed and assembled in the USA!

  • The Best Travel Guitar
I so love everything about this little powerhouse of a guitar, I even bought the tee-shirt! The construction is superb and the sound is amazing, especially for a travel guitar. I bought the acoustic hybrid, the basic model and the quality, especially for the price, is excellent. The carbon fiber body resonates great tone and volume, and the guitar weighs practically nothing. The wooden neck feels like a regular acoustic guitar neck but has the added advantage of two carbon fiber rods as well as a steel truss rod for reinforced stability. The guitar breaks down to small backpack size- zero problems ever flying with this guitar. ... show more

  • I really wanted to like this... but...
After watching some YouTube videos and doing other research, I decided to give this little guitar a try as I was looking for something I could leave at my workplace, which experiences wild temperature variations, which wreak havoc on a normal wood guitar. Out of the box, it was very easy to put together and easy to tune right up. The downsides: The fretboard takes a bit of getting used to, but I could live with that. After all, this guitar is pretty small (I think it's 3/4 size, maybe a bit smaller. What I can't get past is: a) the sound. Other reviewers have praised the tone, but to me it sounds like a child's toy guitar. I didn't expect it to sound like a full-sized axe, but this tinny tone was just unacceptable to me. b) this is the biggy... if you caught a fish and tried to play it, it would be less slippery than this thing. Honestly, all it wants to do is slide off your lap constantly, causing massive player fatigue. I tried using the strap, but as I am not used to using one, I just hated it. I though about buying some Gorilla Grip material to stick under the body of the guitar where it contacts my lap, but for this price point, this is a huge workaround and not something I was willing to do. c) as I then decided to return the guitar, the third failure became apparent when I tried to take the neck off to pack it up for shipping. The four screws are blind - in other words, you can't see what you are screwing into. When I tried to back them out (the little screwdriver they give you is totally inadequate so I had to hunt up another one), three of them came out no problem, but the fourth one had been cross threaded somehow to where it was actually tightening the screw when I turned it to the left. Weird, I know... I had to struggle with it for quite a while to get it loose. Not my idea of a good time, especially when traveling. I summary, If you want a guitar you can put through the wringer and you don't care how it sounds, this might be a good choice. Bonus points if you don't plan on assembling/disassembling it a lot. I don't know what carbon fiber costs, but honestly this seems to cost far more then it needs to for what you get. If this cost 2 bills or so, I would have but the Gorilla Grip on and lived with it. But since I can get a 3/4 size Martin with a pickup that plays like a dream for five hundred bucks, I just don't see $760.00 for what you get. ... show more

  • Small, light, and very playable
The media could not be loaded. First, The Bad: It was tricky getting the guitar out of the case with the neck connected to the body with the strings. Not difficult, per se, but it took a minute fiddling with the zippers to figure it out. Once it was out, the 1st string (high E) was unwound from the tuning peg and kinked towards the middle of the string (their bad, I'm sure, and not my extraction difficulties with the gig bag), BUT, I was able to restring it, and the kink disappeared with proper tension. Surprisingly, it has held tune pretty well that way. That's all the bad I have. Anything else I could say against the guitar would all be relative to a full-sized wooden guitar, and that is not a fair comparison, since this is designed for travel, camping, etc., and at that, it shines, which leads us to The Good: This thing is tiny, light, sturdy, pretty easy to assemble, holds tune, is very playable (the action is pretty low, I wasn't getting any buzzing on the neck, it holds tune well, and the harmonics are good), and the tone is loud and acceptably pleasant. For the money, you could get a better sounding wooden guitar, but if you are looking at this instrument, you probably already have a better sounding wooden guitar that you are hesitant to take camping or on an airplane with you. I wish I could compare it to other travel guitars, but this is the only one I have ever played, so I can't say how it stacks up with other travel guitars or other carbon fiber/composite guitars. I made the decision to buy it based on a few "Best Carbon Fiber Guitars" and "Best Travel Guitars" list reviews from a Google search and three YouTube reviews I saw, one from Darrel Braun, one from Acoustic Life, and one from some random buy playing it at a campsite, recorded on his phone from about 15 feet away. I do not feel misled by any of those videos; this is a fine little guitar that I feel comfortable taking with me on an adventure. TL;DR: It's a good little travel guitar, and I would recommend it ... show more

  • Great for a travel guitar
The Klos travel guitar is a pretty nifty design. The detaching neck makes it possible to take is almost everywhere. It has a very good sound, but it does NOT have the richness of a full sized guitar. Honestly, how could it?! It has a good sound for its size, but if you are wanting the sound quality of a full sized guitar, you will need to get a full sized guitar. Also, the gig bag that comes with the guitar is very nice. One of the two capos that is included should be used on the first fret when disassembling and assembling the neck. This keeps the strings from tangling and the strings firmly attached to the nut. I did a side by side comparison of the Klos travel guitar to a friend's Baby Taylor. They are approximately the same weight, although the body of the Klos is just a bit smaller. Personally, I like the sound of the Klos a little bit better than the Baby Taylor. I don't know what strings came on the Klos guitar, but I suspect that I can find other brands of strings that would enrich the tone. With several road trips planned and some international travel that is hopefully on the horizon, I look forward to being able to travel with my guitar. I would hesitate to take a wooden guitar from low altitude, high humidity, and heat (I live in the South) to the mountains of Colorado or Switzerland. This guitar fits my needs, and exceeds my expectations. ... show more
