Will need two strong people to carry one of these speakers any distance, let alone up a stairs...once you place the speakers, you will need assistance to move them, more than a couple of inches. The old floor speakers I replaced, Boston HS 450's, I could pick each one up with one hand and move it anywhere, with little difficulty. The speakers look awesome. I left the speaker covers off. Each speaker's 2 bright orange woofers are too nice-looking to cover up. Upon easily connecting the speakers to my old Yamaha receiver, I was amazed at how immediately good the speakers sounded. My old receiver easily drove them, too. After 40 some burn-in hours they will sound even better. ... show more

These speakers are amazing! I listen to mostly hard rock and blues. Most expert reviews will always put Klipsch at or near the top for this type of music and they weren't wrong. So glad with my purchase. I'm paired with an Outlaw RR2160 2 channel receiver and U-turn Orbit turntable. I used to have Infinity Overture 3s and these speakers sound just as good as those. Even though these are first gen, I don't know if I'd be able to hear the difference compared to their 2nd gen speakers, and the 1st gen cost a lot less now.
