I have these playing out of a Sony receiver (6 ohms) that drives 90 watts / two channels driven (These speakers are 8 ohms). The interweb calculators are telling me that this is actually a 67 watts output per channel. I mostly listen to music that is directly connected (No Bluetooth), and the sound is incredible at only half power. I can't imagine that anyone would ever be disappointed with the overall output and quality of these speakers. I often can only listen to 2 or 3 songs at louder levels before turning it down. ... show more

Will need two strong people to carry one of these speakers any distance, let alone up a stairs...once you place the speakers, you will need assistance to move them, more than a couple of inches. The old floor speakers I replaced, Boston HS 450's, I could pick each one up with one hand and move it anywhere, with little difficulty. The speakers look awesome. I left the speaker covers off. Each speaker's 2 bright orange woofers are too nice-looking to cover up. Upon easily connecting the speakers to my old Yamaha receiver, I was amazed at how immediately good the speakers sounded. My old receiver easily drove them, too. After 40 some burn-in hours they will sound even better. ... show more

Amazing sound. Got them on sale cheaper than the rf-800F was worried about not having enough wattage at 105 per but upgrading to a 120per channel soon but really not sure I will after hearing them. They sound great and my old 6's are now surround backs and the full sound from all directions is amazing ... show more

Ordered a pair of these RP-8000 floor standing speakers to go with my RP-450C center channel, RP-600M surrounds, and R-120SW powered subwoofer, all paired to a Sony STRDH790 A/V receiver. Phenomenal is the word that came to mind when I got them hooked up. The detail projected through the Tractrix horn is wonderful and the 8" woofers really add a new level to the mid range. Chest compressing at higher levels, amazing. Speaking of higher levels, listening at higher volumes I've noticed no distortion, though I'm not an audiophile. Haven't tried them at reference, but I'd imagine the distortion would be little to nonexistent. If you're second guessing yourself on pulling the trigger on these, don't. They are exactly what you're hoping they will be and possibly more. Make sure to measure twice the space you're planning to place these at, as they are substantial in stature. Next upgrade will probably a matching set for the surrounds. ... show more

I have waited for a few years to see how low these would go in price. Currently $349. You will flat out not beat these speakers at this price. I power them with a Denon AvrS760h- only a 70 watt receiver- that's all you need. As expected they scream- they're Klipsch- known for house party speakers. I couldn't sit in the same room with my AVR at full power because they're sensitive speakers. However the RP-8000f have much more to offer than raw power. I ran the Audyssey multiEQ app on them and they're incredibly linear. So far I've thrown every type of music I can think of at them from delicate classical to gangster rap to metal and they've handled all amazingly. I'm also running a 12" sub with them with my crossovers set at 80. Movies sound just like sitting in the theater or better. Mine showed up in perfect condition btw. The equipment I surround them with may change but these are "keep 'em forever" speakers. ... show more
