I recently replaced all my tired speakers with new Klipsch speakers. I got this center channel speaker (RP-404C), a pair of RP-8000F's, and a pair of RP-600M's. I also have 2 Onkyo Dolby Atmos speakers and a Klipsch Reference 12" powered sub. My system is powered by an Onkyo TX-NR646 receiver. It isn't the best receiver out there but it has a lot of bang for the bucks just like this Klipsch center channel speaker! I immediately noticed the clarity this center channel speaker brought to my listening pleasure. It was a huge improvement to my last tired JBL center channel speaker. I used to have to really turn up the gain on my old speaker, and even then, I had trouble hearing dialogue in movies. This hasn't been the case with my new Klipsch RP-404C center channel speaker. Movie and TV show dialogue is very clear and dynamic now. I'm impressed. I highly recommend this speaker as well as the other Klipsch speakers I bought to compliment my system. If you can afford the other Reference Premier speakers I mentioned, you will be extremely happy with your whole setup. I know I am, for what's that worth to ya! ... show more

Not gonna give an exhaustive review. I love the fact that I can use this at lower sounds and still get great clarity vs the smaller ones I had before. Compared to what I had as a center channel speaker before - the klipsch 404C is a beast. It is much larger an heavier than I imagined (not that, that is bad though). The sound is very crisp, clean and clear and can get pretty loud. Loving this speaker so far!

I bought this center speaker to replace my Bose. The center speaker alone sounds better than many pair of floor standing/bookshelf speakers. The height of this center speaker was taller than its predecessor, so, it may have to be placed on the tv/av stand's second shelf vice top shelf under the tv.
