Top Amazon Reviews

  • Good Sound, Good Esthetics, Happy Customer
I picked up this speaker and subwoofer combo for my desktop PC after weeks of research and reading dozens and dozens of reviews for various speakers. It seems every Amazon product has mixed reviews, with the AI-generated summary saying that "some people loved it but others hated it", and "it's praised for it's quality but others said it caught fire"...useless. So I found a set that had the right dimensions to fit on my Secretlab desk, looked good, and was made by a reputable company, and I pulled the trigger. I have several other Klipsch speakers and a subwoofer for my home theater, and while I am not an audiophile, they sound plenty good to me. So I had no reason to think these desktop speakers would be anything different. Sure enough, they look nice and sound great. They were packaged well, arrived on time and undamaged, and contained clear setup instructions. Setup was easy with minimal cabling. The styling is understated but pleasing. No crazy FPS gamer vibes. The satellite speaker bases are fixed height, but allow you to "nod" the speakers up or down for fine pointing. Once set, they stay pointed where you left it. The sound quality is as good as my untrained ears are capable of perceiving. Seriously, I don't think any human on earth can perceive the difference made by gold-plated connectors, or super Wonka-vator MOSFETs...Dude, it's a set of speakers. The sound is full and rich, and the subwoofer makes things go "thump" when they're supposed to. I've heard "good" speakers and "bad" speakers...these are definitely "good" speakers. The RGB lighting seems like an afterthought and it's a bit gimmicky--and a bit finicky--but the effect is subtle and optional. Setting the lighting mode using the physical buttons was just trial-and-error. I couldnt tell what mode i was in, and the buttons react differently to short presses and long presses. Just use the control software and you can set everything explicitly with no guesswork. Is it another piece of bloatware? Yes, a little bit...but the footprint is light and as an alternative, you can control the lighting in sync with the rest of your PC's RGB using SignalRGB instead. The rest of my desk's RGB lighting overpowers the speaker's LEDs, so it's easy to forget it's there. But if you don't have a lot of other lighting, these provide decent, consistent illumination of the back wall, and I get good color matching with the rest of my RGB. You have the option to use analog 3.5mm, digital USB-C, or Bluetooth for connectivity. I use the USB and enjoy the better sound quality with lower latency. You can set the EQ as you would expect, and there are also plenty of EQ presets if you don't feel like messing with individual levels. The subwoofer dimensions are compact, but the 6.5-inch driver puts out clean deep bass. The cable that connect the sub to the PC is maybe 8-feet long if i had to guess. With the sub on the left side of my Secretlab desk, I was able to route the cable along the rear cable management tray to the right side where my PC is, but there wasnt enough slack to route it up/down the desk legs to hide the cables. Not a big deal, but if cable management is your thing, you might need to get creative with subwoofer placement when using a larger desk. All in all, great purchase. When I'm not using my Razer Blackshark V3 Pro headphones, and I want to fill the room with music or game audio, these sound great. ... show more

  • Great quality product and awesome 2.1 sound. Subwoofer really is incredible and compact.
I'm a programmer and listen to a lot of trance and house music, all versions. These little bad boys kick ass and rock for their size. Setup is extremely easy and the connections are very high quality plug and play. On my desk I could not ask for more or I would go deaf 😁. I also have Klipsch Fusion 200 sound bar, 120SW subwoofer, Klipsch 200 surround rear speakers. Klipsch just jams and never distorts. Great product and I love the cool colored light show they provide. ... show more

  • Awesome speakers for gaming or videos
I love these speakers! I have been using these speakers to play video games and watch videos. The setup was easy enough, easier than the logitech ones I ended up returning. The size is ok, nothing to note there, if you have a small desk setup these will be bigger than you expect. The volume is more than enough for a good office size. I generally have my setup on 2-10 volume and it is more than loud enough. The software for the speakers is intuitive and lightweight. The sound is crisp and the bass is deep, the software also allows you change the EQ. No huge customization, but there are plenty of other 3rd party sw's that allow that. So far very reliable speakers ... show more

  • Worthy upgrade to the original ProMedia
Quite pleased with this update to the Klipsch ProMedia. It absolutely sounds better than the original. Some have mentioned that it does not get loud enough, however I have not found that to be the case. I do notice that the volume level needs to be set higher than when I was using my sound card connected to the old model. By all means use the USB connection to your computer. The DAC within the Luimina is really nice. The only thing I would like to mention is the horrible lack of a decent instruction manual. I really almost gave up until I figured things out by guessing. ... show more

  • Partially defective unit, but also unbalanced and missing frequencies
I think this is the first time I'm writing a one-star review on something. I ordered this speaker set based on the overall positive reviews here, and prior positive experience with Klipsch speakers. So what went wrong here? The TL:DR is that this unit was defective, but it's also unclear how much I might also have been fighting against the design. There's a trend in modern Bluetooth enabled speakers to make them overly strong in the base range, with heavy signal processing, and I suspect this speaker set is doing the same, though mine clearly was also defective, and I've started the return on it. So here's what my experience was: I spent about two days experimenting with the graphic equalizer app, but could never get things to sound "correct". It started out bass heavy, and almost muffled or muddy in the sound. I tried different sound modes, and a variety of custom equalization choices. Setting it for "Music" sound mode (described as have a flat studio-quality sound profile), and also "Flat" for the graphic equalizer resulted in sound that wasn't at all flat and neutral, requiring compensation by significantly reducing both the 50hz and 150hz bands, and boosting the upper three. Even then, the midrange felt weak, and some frequencies were completely absent. I could get it to sound good for some bass-heavy dancebeat music, and then playing something with more subtle ambient effects, there were tones that were missing, and others entirely overemphasized. And I could never seem to avoid what felt like a "muddy" over-processed loss of fidelity. Finally, on a whim, I tried using Windows's "Test" button for playing chimes in both speakers, and the right speaker was extremely quiet, with the upper chimes nearly disappearing, with some crackling. As best I can tell, the right-side tweeter was probably bad. But the sound wasn't great out of the left side either. I also tried re-seating the cables, checked all the connections, power cycled it, and more. I mean, I'm getting better overall "flat" spectrum out of my cheaper Logitech speakers that I was looking to upgrade from. I tried both analog and USB connections, ruled out both the computer and the cables. The speakers themselves use DB9 and DB15 cables that are permanently attached (I think), so those can't be swapped out. Discovering that there was a defect instantly made the decision that it should go back, but I'm not going to exchange it for fear that the balance and frequency range issues might be more systemic. It's disappointing, and I expected more from Klipsch, especially considering the price point. I know everyone else is reviewing this set well, which is part of why I chose to try it. So I hope mine was purely defective, but the experience was bad enough (and unclear how much was due to the defect itself) not to try again. ... show more

  • Good sound but PC app software glitch is irritating. Seller charges return shipping fee
Well built and solid construction. Very thick heavy guage proprietary wiring system. Relatively easy to setup. Very odd directions on the connectiors that protrude and eject the wire outward from the bass bin that is the central connectivity point for the wiring. USB-C connection to the PC input. Blutooth works good but does not show up for all of my devices. My Samsun S25 Edge phone will not see the speakers not matter what I do yet my Samsung Galaxy S11 Tablet works just fine so not every device sees the BT connection. Beware that if you return these despite buying them from Amazon direct Crutchfield indicates after you initiate a return that you will be charged a $13 return shipping fee. I have used Klipsch products for well over 25 years. This was not the best experience. I have been exchanging emails with Klipsch support for over a week and its an extended dialouge to simply get an answer for an error message that displays on my PC on startup. The speakers work fine and the Android app does not give this error but I do not want to have to close this out every time my PC boots up. They said they would fix or replace them from the factory but I am not risking losing my Amazon return window and will eat the $13 and send them back. They function well, at $379 they are extremely expensive for a 2.1 computer sound system. I turned the bass bin around to show the speaker that is meant to face the wall for maximum sound quality. These speakers should be $50 cheaper at a minimum. Price vs performance should sit at $299 to be honest. The RGB lighting is compatible with Windows lighting control and with motherboard lighting sync software. Its a gimmick but it works and looks good with monitor, keyboard, and PC lighting. I will consider buying them again after they have a break in period where the software engineers can work out any software bugs. The PC software is not necessary for complete function. You can use your phone fine. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!
Wow the sound out of these speakers is the clearest I’ve heard. Didn’t think they could make this model better than the last. Expensive but worth it.

  • They sound amazing!
I don’t see how everyone isn’t given these 5 stars. I just upgraded from the old Klipsch 2.1 thx (analog) setup that I’ve had for about 15 years to these. I honestly thought the difference might be ā€œkinda noticeableā€ since I liked my old system so much (just aging and starting to crackle a little) I can’t believe how much better these sound, they are crystal clear with smooth mids, crisp high and clean deep base. I have a thousand dollar Sonos Arc+ sound bar and these BLOW that away. I see some people have mentioned the app doesn’t play well on windows, I don’t know if they have old firmware, out of date drivers or something else going on, because there is ZERO issue for me. These speakers are a solid 5/5 and anyone who says other wise is either not setting up right, for a defective unit, or just don’t know what they’re taking about. I recommend these to a couple of friends already. I paid for these, I didn’t get them for free or promotion/discount for good review, I have no relation to Klipsch. I just like good speakers and these are good speakers! ... show more
