Ok had the og pro media 2.1 and I liked them a lot and they lasted me about 10 years before the sub went kaput. Now in 2024 I’m looking for a nice setup for my office and here I see this set on Amazon and they look like the Klipsch speakers of old. Worth a look. So after looking at them in Costco and reading reviews I decided to pull the trigger on a sale and man oh man I love these speakers. They sound huge for there size. The bass is pristine. They can get plenty loud. Well honestly I want louder but the volume is nothing to complain about especially sitting in front of them. Incredible imaging and clarity through a Bluetooth connection. The bass on these are punchy and not muddy like its predecessor. They are fun to listen to and they sound as good as they look. Love the vintage look of these and the cabinets are of nice quality with vinyl with a very convincing wood look. They punch well above there weight and size and if you’re looking for something nice for a desktop, bedroom, hell a living room these Klipsch sound great and if you loved the old promedia these sound so much better. Very easy to set up also. The remote leaves much to be desired because of its limited range but if you’re sitting in front of these doesn’t matter. Just make sure you download the firmware update to a thumb drive and update and this thing is awesome!! Highly recommended audio for your pc, movies, games or music. Wow! ... show more

I rarely write reviews but I had to for these speakers because I am so happy with them. I think they’re maybe the best speakers I’ve ever heard. Not only do they make music, movies, and games sound amazing; but they are also handsome and well built. I love the black wood grain boxes and the classic fabric covers. The stands angle them upwards perfectly to your ears. These speakers have so much power I wouldn’t hesitate to put them in a living room and use them with a tv/record player—it’s honestly more power than you’d ever need sitting at a desk. The subwoofer is enormous and it will blow you away. The price seems a little high at first, but after spending a few days with these speakers I can say that they are a great value for what you get. My only wishes would be for a longer aux cable (I needed about 1-2 more feet to get from the sub on the floor all the way through my monitor arm) and better signal reception for the remote (aiming it at the subwoofer under the desk takes a few tries sometimes for it to communicate.) ... show more

Not only do these look way better and more stylish than the original ProMedia, they sound so much better, particularly in the bass response being far less boomy and the satellites less shouty. Both the sun and satellites are a bit bigger than the original though, and I think the size increase matches the improved fidelity. There was an issue with hiss that seems to stem from the subs built in amp, but I got a separate amp for my pc and wires the satellites into that essentially turning the Klipsch into passive speakers with the added benefit of an easily accessible volume knob without needing the remote. Once the firmware update was applied (make sure you use a USB 2.0 not 3.0 flash drive) I also had the ability to switch off the aggressive sleep profile too. Despite spending an additional $100 for a new amp and wire, I still feel these were 100% worth it as an improvement over my decade-old Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified set.     • Great Speakers, Some setbacks

I've been using these speakers for almost a year now. I used to use only headphones. But because of less worry about noise complaints, I wanted to give some speakers a shot. These have been great. Currently I have them running off of a Topping A90, with signal from my computer coming through a S.MS.L SU-8 (computer settings to 32 bit, 192000hz). Went from using my T60RP Argons daily to using my speakers every day unless I have to hop on a zoom call. I often find my self turning up the music quite loud at times, but it doesn't feel too overwhelming or sounding like I'm pushing the speakers. The only drawback is the remote and auto power saving function, as I know those can be drawbacks for those who need that. I have noticed that depending on the content that is playing they have auto powered off. It can be slightly annoying, but the overall experience and quality of sound has been great. I've at this point, set its base audio levels, and only adjust the sound via computer output or overall output from the amp. So these speakers worked well for my setup. ... show more

If you are shopping for 2.1 deksktop speakers for your PC, these are it! High quality build and sound at a great price from Amazon, you can't go wrong. Treat your ears to sonic clarity and amazing deep bass, these speakers perform at the highest level, not muddy sounding at all just pure clarity and presence. I was amazed how great these sound. Bluetooth compatible if you want to stream straight from your phone, but I recommend using the wired connection for your PC to get the maximum sound quality. ... show more
