  • 1 year in review. Klipsch Cinema 800 is horrible
EDIT: Even though the Cinema 800 system turned out to be crap when it came to connectivity (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth) the speakers themselves were amazing. After many emails back and forth with customer service (hoping they could send me a replacement circuit board or something to repair it), I was told there are no more 800’s to replace it with and they cannot repair it. Then they asked if I would prefer a “wired or wireless” replacement??? This kind of took me by surprise because the system was 8 months out of warranty at this point, but I said wired. They sent me a brand new Onkyo TX-NR7100 and Klipsch 5.1.4 speakers! I’m happy for the fact that most companies would have said pound sand, it’s out of warranty, so for that I feel lucky to get anything. On the other hand it would have been better if the original Cinema 800 would have worked out the way it was supposed to. But in the long run it didn’t so I got something instead of nothing. I am going to update from 1 star to 3 stars because although I didn’t get what I wanted I am not out $1400 and still have amazing sound. And even though it was a pain to wire it is much easier to operate with my phone (only ever owned Yamaha receivers and Klipsch speakers over the last 40 years). But I’m not gonna lie, this Onkyo is pretty BADA$$ and the phone app rocks. It did take a couple weeks of back and forth with CS so try to be patient. The “wireless” option were The Fives and RP-1000 with wireless kit. I was a bit leery of getting back into the wireless scene with Klipsch that’s why I went with the tried and true wired choice. I would definitely keep buying from Klipsch knowing they’d have my back. Thank you Klipsch. ———————————————— This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. Been a Klipsch fan for over 30 years, until I bought this junk. I read the reviews before I bought but was hoping I’d have a better experience. It has been awful. Bluetooth is constantly dropping, weird screeching from the sound bar and locking up. I get high pitch whining from the surround speakers and sub is constantly losing connection. I have to unplug the sound bar at least 1-2 times a week to get it to unlock and work again. When it works it is amazing, from music to movies it rocks. But it is not worth the hassles I have to deal with to get it to work properly Klipsch needs to drop this junk and start over. F- ... show more

  • Pretty Good but Overpriced
The only reason I bought this soundbar was because of the amazing sale they had. I thinks the MSRP is too high. That being said, Pros: sounds great. Love the bass. Pretty clear. Cons: could be louder, remote range is about 8-10 feet max. and sound drops in and out sometimes. Its not often but it does happen a couple of times a week. I think it may be the HDMI cable but I'm unsure. I would recommend this product when on sale. ... show more

  • Customer service with Klipsch is HORRIBLE
Speaker set up was not bad. It took a little bit to connect to Wi-Fi, but it connected. After using the speaker set up for about 3 months, using the HDMI(Arc) format, I lost control of the sound bar completely. The only way to get a response from the sound bar was to unplug it and re-plug in after 30 seconds. Klipsch support suggested downloading a difficult zip file and install it myself. After multiple tries and begging them to send me the update or refund my money, Klipsch reluctantly sent me a usb stick that had the update. REALLY!! after all this then you send me the update like its GOLD!!?? The sound bar is working great now. The hassle from support has caused me to never buy a Klipsch product again! In my world, it is NOT about the problem, It is how are you handling it. Klipsch fails here. Big time. ... show more

  • Great sound. Lasted less than 4 months only. |Update: everything is awesome now!
—— UPDATE —— This situation deserves and update. Klipsch did contact me, and their customer support lived up to the expectations. Moreover, they went above me beyond. There was a sincere apology to start with, and explained the situation with the supply chain, etc. I had to wait a little more. Finally the equipment was swapped, and after about 7 months, I have to report it has been nothing but pure joy! It seems the first unit was a defective one. The new unit sounds awesome. Friends who have visited our home are always impressed with the quality of the sound and ask about the sound bar, they typically say theirs is not even close to this sound. I agree. :) The big and popular brands out there don’t touch the quality of the sound Klipsch’s equipment produces. Whether you listen to background music from your smartphone or Hi-Fi sound from a 4K movie, it seriously delivers at all volume levels! I have upgrade my review from 1 to 4 stars. I will give it 5 stars after a year without any problems, it deserves it. —— Initial review ——- Expensive for what you get. Sound is OK. It shines with music. I thought that by this sound bar being a Klipsch I had a reputable brand behind and I wouldn’t have to worry about the quality or the service/ support. More so for what you pay to get it. My last sound bar lasted 10 years working well and I decided it was time to replace it. This bar and the subwoofer will make you happy with the sound. I was overall happy with the features, connectivity and sound. But my happiness lasted less than 4 months. I am starting to regret my decision. The sound bar just decided to die. There is nothing I can do to get it to turn on. I reported the case to Klipsch support website, never got an answer. Later I found out the ticket had a “solved” status. How could it be solved when they never communicated with me? I had to open a second ticket, still waiting. Decided to call them. Never got a person to answer after waiting for almost one hour. ... show more
