I have been looking for a quality CD player and FM radio and found it in this black KLIM boombox. It is lightweight and compact but the sound quality is, to my non-professional ears, outstanding. I have no complaints: the bass is just right and there is no tinny sound so far as I am concerned. I did not have to turn to the manual to set up the system because with a little patience the unit dials are intuitive. I like that the CD player opens at the top. Two Sony stereo systems have permanently trapped several CDs in the tray that once upon a time opened electronically. . . until they didn't. As customer service is just as important to me as the quality of the merchandise I buy, I have to say that the KLIM customer service representative I corresponded with was quick, responsive and exceptionally friendly. It just did not have the volume I needed for my specific purpose. Easy to use the many features. No tone control,but I think 4 eq settings. Only concern is that the rechargeable batteries are not removable & you are advised to unplug the unit if it will not be used for awhile.

I bought two of these, one for my wife and one for me. Mine worked great for a few weeks and then the ac started to work only occasionally. I switched to using just battery power which also failed a few weeks later. I can no longer rely on it to work and so have replaced it with a different brand. The CD player on my old radio started locking up in the middle of tunes and doing other weird things so I started looking around for a relatively inexpensive replacement. The reviews on this item were generally good so I ordered one. It arrived pretty quickly, as expected. I put batteries (included) in the remote, plugged in the unit and, after doing a quick scan of the manual, turned it on. I turned it to the CD function, put in a CD and hit the <Play> button. The sound is certainly acceptable -- not as good as the much more expensive unit I had but not bad. There's nothing you can do with it tone-wise except to adjust the volume but I didn't expect three hundred dollar sound. The radio tuning isn't particularly user friendly but once I figured it out, it's acceptable. You can't create any presets for your favorite stations but it will scan all stations, both AM and FM, within range and will save up to 30 of them. You can't go directly to any of them but must scroll through to find them. I normally only have two or three stations I ever listen to so this isn't a great feature for me. But again, I don't expect perfection. On a positive note, it remembers the last station you listened to and when you turn on the radio it takes you right back there. I wanted this for the CD player primarily, and the remote. I want to listen to my CDs when working from home or on a quiet Saturday morning. However, when I received it, the CD player would not work. I reached out to KLIM, they responded that night. When we could not get it to work, they promptly sent me a replacement. I received it 2 or 3 days later! And it works great! Just as I hoped! And the radio, USB, and bluetooth are handy as well. I like the looks, and the sound is great. I’ve been using it for nature CDs at the moment, but plan to enjoy dozens of other old CDs that haven’t been used in years. No regrets on this purchase. I really like this compact boombox! Good quality for the price. The sound is "bass heavy" for my taste. I do wish there was a way to adjust the ranges, even just the 3 main ranges (bass, midrange, treble). I realize that is a function for a higher priced product.
