This is a nice little "boombox". No, it's not going to vibrate the room with base, but I was looking for something rechargeable to take out to the yard or garage etc and this is perfect. In addition to playing CDR / CDRW's, it will also play music from the built in USB port. All of my thumb drives work great and it's better than moving around a bunch of cd's. Only negative is the position of the USB port. It's right on the front of the unit under the LCD display. So the USB drive will stick out from the unit and could get damaged. NOt much of a concern but worth a mention. Customer Service: Really GREAT. The Boombox I was sent only charged for 30 -40 minutes and only lasted 20-30 minutes while running of battery. This "wasn't cool" and obviously should last longer. 3 days after contacting cust service, a replacement boombox was on my doorstep. This one takes 5-6 hours to charge and lasts over 5 hours on battery with volume set appx 1/2 way (and the speaker lights turned off). Obviously, there was an issue with the internal battery on the first one. The manufacturer rectified the situation super fast. AND they sent me a 10% off coupon for another purchase. WHICH I WILL ABSOLUTELY DO. Great Cust Service.

I'm so glad i made this purchase. After much research and trial and failure i've finally found a solution i can truly claim is exactly what i was looking for. Since this will be my work music-system i needed something clear and capable of delivering music via a variety of media. I won't quite say this is an iPod-killer but it comes close. the USB-drive input is so cool if you don't need to see track-titles or have complete control over how your playlists are sequenced (the random-mode is helpful) USB-drives are cheap so you can have multiple Flash-drives containing a variety of music(s) of your choice (the only limitation being no disks over 64 GB...my unit really seems to like Sandisk). i had no issues whatsoever with CDs skipping....i wish the FM and Am knobs weren't stepped but the increments are tight and i get my favorite FM station clearly. The Volume- knob has 30 steps so you have a very nice range of volume to work with. ...almost twice as much as your mac computer. The audio-input is there if you want to plug in a phone or i-Pod without bluetooth. The unit provides 4 EQ settings plus the default. i've found the Jazz setting to be my favorite...providing a nice clarity across the spectrum for all music. ..it's actually a brilliant little Eq-curve given the speakers.....which is the bottom-line. i won't say this is a 'blaster' or 'boombox' of the sort i'm used to but it packs a better punch with clarity than my 2 old favorite companies' current products in the same price-range. i'm just blown away by this unit as well as the super-folks at KLIM who were immediately responsive when i had an issue with my original unit and immediately sent a replacement the next day. the REMOTE-CONTROL is VERY effective....since some of the work i do means being on ladders several feet away, a reliable remote is essential if i'm playing playlists with jumps in volume or need to skip a track. (in the first photo you can see my little KLIM approximately 15 ft away. i am on this side of the yellow ladder and was still able to to easily get the unit to respond to my remote commands (which i keep wrapped in the original plastic to protect from paint and water). i also think it's important to note that this doesn't sound like a BOSE with truly heft bass....i often work in small bathrooms when people are home so even at low volumes i don't want that much bass....just enough to have things pop and provide some definition. this is a dream unit in that regard.....so whether i'm listening to electronic music or Gordon Lightfoot....the sound is just so very nice... the question becomes how long will it hold up to the abuse i will subject it to?....i'm confident it will hold up just fine...it's build is solid. the package itself is excellent and KLIM throws in cool bumper-stickers.... i don't go around saying how much i love a company but i really love this one. my search is over.....KLIM is my new choice....of course i'd be very excited were they to release a B6-Model.

Good sound, low price, remote control, plays CDs, bluetooth compatible, FM/AM, but... The radio pre-sets are done automatically. It presets ALL stations starting with the low end of the band until all 30 presets are filled. This means that it can fill all 30 before it gets to a station at the high end (106MHz, say) where you may have a favorite. Weird. I sent an e-mail to KLIM tech support to ask if they have any way to override the auto setting and do it manually. I received a reply from KLIM and there is no work-around for this model but they have a model that they say allows setting of specific stations. Search Amazon for "KLIM CD + Cassette Tape Player"

The customer service from KLIM is incredible! My KLIM Boombox B4 stopped playing all of a sudden after a year. I emailed KLIM Customer Service and they responded immediately that same day. I had saved the Owner's Manual and had stapled a copy of the Amazon Invoice to it so, when they asked for the Amazon Order Number, I had it handy. They asked some questions about the stereo and shiiped a replacement out the very next day via FedEx. I didn't even have to return the old one! Now THAT is Customer Service!
