I like that it’s a modern hard hat with a built in head lamp slot. All of the others hard hats like this I researched did not have that feature. The built in ventilation slots, which can be adjusted given the job site conditions also keep the head protected and cool simultaneously. Good fit and confident in my safety and protection while wearing this hard hat in hazardous situations. I needed a Fall Arrest Helmut for climbing up extension ladders, but have found that the USB rechargeable light is wonderful for a quick nighttime headlight. Also, the light has a convenient magnet for sticking to steel surfaces. The light is very quick to aim downwards from the dovetail mount, on the Helmut, or release from Helmut to use as a light source. As always, Klein Tools are a joy to use and own. ... show more

Best hardhat I have had. You don't even need to tighten so much, it stays put. The headlight was not the best. Only last 7hr on the lowest setting. Even contacted Klein but nobody ever got back to me.

The Klein Tools 60517 Safety Helmet has been a game changer for me. The headlamp lasts quite a while, and being able to clip it directly to the hard hat is incredibly convenient—no more adjusting a separate strap or worrying about it shifting. It also charges via USB-C, making recharging simple and efficient. I did remove the chin strap, which was surprisingly tough, but once off, the helmet remained comfortable to wear all day. Cool helmet and it keeps me bit cooler with the cool pads and the vents drys fast it’s also lighter the my other ones the light is extremely bright, wish it had more options on light, over all this is worth it !

    • Bad chin strap design
The part that goes around your ears is not very adjustable and way too small. Not sure whose ears are located on top of their head, but I had to take them out and put them in so they aren’t crossing as designed. Everything else is great.
