The goal is great! Works very well for a 4-year-old and 8-year-old. Only issue was that the water tank had a hole and would not hold water, used a cement block instead and works great. With the location of the goal compared the base, dunking the ball will cause the goal to tip over. Solution - keep the goal high enough for kids to be dubk in. I didn't want to spend a whole lot so I got this.. my daughter wanted to learn how to play basketball.. It's not the sturdiest but it has held up to our desert winds in West TX. I have a feeling the sun is going to do a number on it though. Mine unfortunately was damaged but still usable.. the box had a hole cut into it not a rip because it was too clean. Nothing to cushion the pieces either. Backboard had a dent in it luckily on the back. ... show more

My husband was able to quickly assemble it. He does have a background in designing, building & maintaining machies though so I am not sure how easy it truly is to assemble! We partially filled the base with water but also set a bag of soil in top as our driveway is ever so slightly slanted.

We have another free standing basketball hoop like this one at the grandparents house. This model goes 10’ high & u can move it in & out of the garage even filled with sand or water. It’s easy to put together!
