The media could not be loaded. The chair came in pieces, as you might expect. Not terribly difficult to assemble, only 6 screws and the rest fits together with friction and tightening knobs. Though inserting the lift cylinder into the footrest proved challenging because of the footrest's rubber o-ring and the small presser plate hidden inside it (which grip the lift cylinder when the knob is tightened); they had migrated from their proper placement inside the foot stand center hole, although it was not obvious even after looking at it for considerable time. The instructions don't mention the o-ring or plate piece at all, implying nothing should have moved around, but of course friction fit parts are easy to fall out of place prior to assembly. Once I worked through that little glitch, everything else came together well. Rating the comfort level, the backrest is okay but not adjustable. The seat is like a large bicycle saddle; I suppose it is meant to be ergonomic for drafters crouched over a table all day. The footrest is height adjustable with some effort: loosen the tension knob and wrestle against the aforementioned rubber o-ring's grip on the cylinder to raise or lower the stand. I had thought the chair overall would be taller. The gas cylinder is exactly like that used in every other office task chair: it does not adjust very high. I think the designers could have remedied this "short"-coming (pun intended) by making the 5-legged base taller. The casters are slightly upgraded, I reckon, since the wheels -- which are typically solid plastic -- are wrapped with a softer material, perhaps TPU. Wheel bearings (if there are any) do not impress, thus I say "slightly" upscale. Now the really annoying part: the base has a kind of metal escutcheon, merely cosmetic, which hides the weld seams at the middle. Maybe my chair was defective, but that metal cover is completely disconnected, held in place by gravity alone. And it rattles, metal on metal. Thin, brittle, tinny metal on metal. Moving the chair across any bump on the floor, raising or lowering the seat, even just standing up from this chair, makes that piece rattle like crazy. I will probably put a glob of plumber's putty under it to hold it in place and hopefully stop the rattle. Overall, if you need a task chair/stool with a saddle-style seat, and your budget is tight, this chair may be a good choice. ... show more

Easy to put together great for smaller areas and easy to adjust to the perfect height on the legs and seat. Glides smoothly over the floor & super comfortable to use against a counter height surface better than sitting on a normal stool while I work
