I'm a side sleeper and my guy is a back sleeper. While these are very nice (slippery) pillows - like hotel pillows - neither found enough support. They come packaged in an airtight bag - immediately opened and let rise. There wasn't a huge 'gas' yuck smell like a lot of products these days. I started using after 48 hours, just to give them time to air out as my personal preference. I gave one to my son to use, he hasn't complained yet. The other pillow, I use as an ancillary pillow to prop up in bed. Like I said, these are similar to hotel pillows, that are nice but not necessarily the most comfortable because they are not as firm. As for the 'cooling' part... No one in my family has ever complained about being overheated by their pillow, so calling a pillow a cooling pillow, for me, is odd, but maybe others are overheated by certain pillows. IDK? I would still recommend these pillows, as they come in a 2 pack, appears to be of good quality and may work for those that want a softer pillow. NOTE: I did receive this item to review. These pillows are alright for basically anything but laying your head on. They are too soft to really lay your head on them comfortably. I tried and the pillow kept slipping out from under my head in the night. Very annoying. I ended up tossing them down towards the end of the bed and discovered they are pretty comfy under my knees. The "cooling" feature and the description saying its for side sleepers threw me off a bit. I didn't notice anything cooler than any other pillow and it didn't seem to matter in what position I laid in. It was all the same ... show more
