This seems like something to keep young children engaged with the bright colors, music and lights. It also appears quite sturdy and the buttons and sensors all worked as they should. Kiki the cat certainly enjoyed it. I couldn’t keep her off the mat long enough to get a picture. At the current price point of $39.99 (50% off) I would say it is well worth the price, but at a retail price of $79.98 I am not sure if it would be a purchase I would make. ... show more

A bunch of 6-year-olds loved it. It was easy for them to figure out how to turn on and use the easy mode. It is nice that it will level up on its own. I could not figure out how to get the 6 mode so we can only play with the 4 mode, which really frustrated me. There is nothing in the directions on how to switch to 6 mode so that all 6 steps light up. The sound is easy to make louder or softer. Easy to connect to bluetooth. ... show more

This is a fun kid's version of the Dance Dance rhythm games from the arcade but also reminds me of the Simon electronic game from my youth. The mat has a number of bright squares that will light up and you have to press the square before the light goes out. The kids had a lot of fun trying to step on the lights while the music was playing and with the multiple modes from very easy to fairly complex, it should provide a fair amount of entertainment. There is also a memory mode where the mat will show you a series of lights that you need to remember and press in the correct sequence. The music does get a bit old after a while (at least to the adults) but it was really easy to pair our phone to the mat via Bluetooth and play our own music. The product seems fairly well made for a mat with integrated electronics but I have no idea how long it will last with how tough the kids are jumping up and down. If your kid likes these kinds of games this will probably be a big hit. ... show more

My grandchildren are going to love this dance mat at our next sleepover. It uses 4-AA batteries. I tried it out (it’s pretty small- one person at a time only)- I also had to play with the volume but, it’s easy to adjust. I know this dance mat is marketed for kids but as an adult, I enjoyed it too. I've never been a big fan of exercise routines but I LOVE to move with the music. So I took some extra time right at the beginning to learn how to program it for what I wanted. I use it to dance rather than strict exercise for about 10-15 minutes every morning and it's so much fun, I actually look forward to waking up and heading downstairs to dance!
