I tried this on some distressed leather handbags that I bought secondhand. This got out the stains and really made the bags look like new again. Even cleaned up some minor scratches. I would definitely follow up with some type of leather conditioner since this cleaner can strip out some of the natural oils in the leather. If you follow the directions and just use a rag or soft cloth, you won't get much lather from the soap, but it still works. I watched a few YouTube videos where the person used a soft bristled brush on leather shoes and that really seemed to work up a lather better than just a cloth. My niece was dying my sister hair when she decided to sit on my leather couch while the day set. I was horrified when she got up and found that she had left red hair dye on the back of my couch. I tried every cleaner I had in my house to remove the die unsuccessfully. after doing a Google search, it was recommended on a site to use Saddlesoap.     • Clean , long lived boots
I work in a machine shop with oils and metal chips settling in my boots. At home, lawn care and gardening deposit more organic material. Either way, the leather takes a beating. Kiwi saddle soap cleans the debris and restores the oils to the leather. My 10 hyear old boots were actually more supple than the 3 year old boots that I have been trying another product. I found the more traditional saddle soap is easier to use and more effective. The 3 year test is over and I hope to save the expensive booties that started off with a less effective cleanser.     • Cleaned my black boots
Went mud riding and to a rodeo the same day. My boots were put through the wringer with mud and all. I used this and all the mud came off. It seemed to polish and condition them as well. I definitely liked this for cleaning my boots.

I used this several times to re-condition WWII 1911A1 holster made by Straus-Bodenheimer Saddlery Co. of Houston and the Kiwi Saddle Soap did a fine job of cleaning and softening the holster.
