I updated to five stars. We've had this for 9 months and we use it a lot. Originally we had some problems (see original review below) but that turned out to be user error. You have to make sure you firmly press both sides do that they latch. That was our problem. This machine has great vacuum and seals well. My wife no longer has any problems. I would recommend it. (Original review) This is our second vacuum sealer from Kitchen Boss. Our first one was a step down from this one. It lasted several years with lots of use. When it finally died, as all things do, I went directly to Kitchen Boss. I saw this model and it was a step for not much more money so I bought it. It's not all bad. I like that it has vacuum seal settings for dry goods and wet goods. I like that it continues to suck during the sealing process. All in all it does a good job. My only real complaint is with the sealing element. It just doesn't seem as hot as our previous model. Due to that, you have to let it sit for a moment after it tells you it's done just to make sure that a seal is made. Our older one, we just took things off as soon as the lights said it was done. So at the end of the day, it really boils down to adjusting how we use it and just being a little patient. maybe it is just the one we got. I use it for Sous Vide, freezing meats and we seal our cheese so that it doesn't mold. I usually double seal everything. I even did that with our old one. I've been using it for a month now and I am used to it and not having any troubles. My wife struggles here and there with it.

I guess you get what you pay for… takes two of us to align for suction to work…. But guess what …. It still leaks. After two months we had meat in freezer and it got frost… suction did not stay sealed Past return date or would have returned . So be made aware 50% hold the seal

Someone to ☎️. Rubber piece keeps sticking to the top? And it’s so loose when I shove it down into the area there is a gap I don’t want to cut it. So it went from a fiive to a three . in some cases the suction is starting to fail so I don’t know ? I can’t return it :(. I think maybe a year old maybe ? I can’t even figure that out I have been trying to look it says August and it is August now and I don’t know if it’s August of last year and I know I didn’t get it just recently it must be last August I got it I’ve used it maybe 10 times and for storage , It’s great for me because I’m all alone by myself , l store things and they don’t go bad! My fruit trees are coming in so I’m sad that I’m having problems with it. We will see what happens and I might redo this and let you know after August l will be packaging all my fruit instead of canning all of it.
