I have owned vacuum sealers costing hundreds of dollars. Other than cutting and storing bag material, this unit does compare with the more expensive unit for speed and ease of use. Dollar for dollar why spend three to four times more for a unit that offers very little advantage? I use my KitchenBoss for freezing individual meals, sealing foods for cooking with my Sous Vide, and packing treats for brown bag lunches. Solidly built, small for storage, and large enough to handle the same sealing requirements as the more expensive unit. The unit comes with an additional vacuum seal and the equipment for sealing vacuum containers. Do yourself a favor and get the tool you need without spending more than is necessary.

*update again - a year later (5.2.2020) - over the last week I've gotten 4 different emails from this company offering me an amazon gift card to remove my 1 star review. The first email was a $40 offer, and the most recent was $70....which is more than the item even costs. *update - the company offered me a full refund but keep the product if I remove my review. Leaves me to believe there are others out there who have been dissatisfied with the product but paid off not to leave a negative review!!!* You have to open and close this multiple times to get it to actually start its suction. Then it does a long, slow, loud job at suction. I tried it for 2 days, and now it's going back. I'm going back to the foodsaver.

We did our own deer processing this year. Made 20 logs of summer sausage, 40 lbs of jerky, cut the backstraps into sections etc. I needed a good vacuum sealer to preserve all of our hard work or itd all be in vain if it doesn't put a quality seal on each package. I was absolutely amazed at how well this unit worked out.; I have a friend who was helping that has a much more expensive sealer than this and he said it outperformed his. Quick shipping and great product.

I bought this sealer last summer. It did not work at all so with the Amazon free returns offer, I sent it back and they sent me a new one. It worked just fine. I did not use it for many months but pulled it out again as I am cooking like crazy during this quarantine. It did not work at all again. So frustrating. It just made tons of noise but did absolutely nothing. There is an email address in China on the bottom. I took a chance and emailed them and sent them a video from my phone of what a failure it was. They wrote back right away and made a couple of suggestions. The one that worked was swapping out the extra belt that came with it. It looks just like the old one but it worked. However, only the inching button and seal only button worked, not the middle vacuum seal one. So, I sent that on a video to them. Kitchen Boss again replied promptly and said they would give me a full refund! So, I quickly sent a screen shot of the Amazon receipt and presto, they refunded the entire amount. I got a notification from Amazon right away. Nice!!! Not sure if I will buy a third one if/when this one goes on the fritz again but I was most impressed with how this company responded.

We recently bought a small freezer and I purchased the KitchenBoss Vacuum Sealer Machine. I love that it is very easy to use. The sealer does not have complicated buttons to try to figure out. It is lightweight so I can move it easily from the counter to shelf. It closes easy and has a "click" sound to let you know that it is properly closed. I love it and would highly recommend it!

I always hold off writing reviews on these things for months. Because I want to see exactly how the machine performs over a few months and how it lasts over a few months. This machine isn't worth the plastic that used to put it together. I've used mine 3 times since I bought it in December. I opened up the Box yesterday that I carefully keep it in and the top gasket that maintains the integrity of the air seal was falling off. What a piece of krapp.

This item is great priced and does the job. The manual certainly leaves something to be desired but the operation is pretty intuitive. You have to press down on the top while operating, that's a little cheap feeling. There are some extra parts that come with the machine but no info on what they are or what to do with them.
