Small, I didn't want another appliance to store or have sitting out -- no blender, no bullet blender even. Versatile - you can blend/stir anywhere -- in the provided container, a pyrex measuring cup, a pot of soup, vs having to put ingredients in a blender. Variable speed - very useful And last... the blades are nice and sharp, unlike a cheapie version I purchased. It comes with a blade guard as well. This is an appliance that will see heavy use!
