I ordered a different immersion blender first, and ended up returning it. This was my 2nd attempt, and it's the one! I use this when i travel to make protein shakes in my hotel room. What a game changer! it's quiet, had multiple speeds, easy to clean, lightweight, and JUST RIGHT.

I bought this to blend squash in soups. I've used it a few times and it works very well. Clean up is simple, rinse it in the sink, then 'stir' some warm soapy water, rinse, dry. The plastic guard clips on easily and protects the pan surface. It came with some accessories; the seem nice, but I haven't really used them. One thing, this unit is NOT CORDLESS. I didn't notice that when I purchased it, so was surprised. The cord isn't a big problem, but if you do not have handy outlets, perhaps you'll want a CORDLESS version. Been using this almost daily for smoothies while I decide what blender to choose. It isnt great at blending ice, but if you spend enough time it will get the job done. Does well with frozen fruit if not packed too much. You can let off the power button to apple less pressure or press it down for full speed. The container it comes with looks like it wears down pretty easily as it already has some scratches and marks after use, so don't expect too much longevity from that. I finally got a great immersion blender! After trial and error with others, this is the keeper. I’ve also used the food processor and the blender accessories and it all works well. It does what I wanted it to do: puree stuff (cooked hot peppers mainly). It doesn’t splatter and it’s easy to clean, the two things I was worried about. Awesome device, not too costly, and obviously from a credible brand.
