    • Battery powered alone makes it worth it
Immersion blenders are one of the most versatile appliances imo. So I'm using it all over the kitchen at different points in all sorts of pots, bowls, or containers, sometimes just for 10-20 seconds. Having it battery powered is very convenient for something I'm using around the kitchen throughout a cook. Still has plenty of power even though it's battery, and the battery lasts long enough that I'm not finding myself needing to charge it that often. Works well, blends as well as my previous corded unit. Needed a new one, it cost more but the convenience of battery was worth it. 2 issues - The safety button is annoying. Before you can press the power button, you need to have a safety button pressed. It's awkwardly positioned and something just does register. Unnecessary feature that dumbs down the product. The included safety guard so you don't scratch things during use was designed terrible. Does not clip on secure and wobbles around. Sure enough, came off during use and got completely ripped up by the blender blade. That was pretty annoying and hopefully didn't damage anything. Needs a complete redesign or nix. ... show more

I LOVE this item...I've had for 8 months and it proves itself everyday. A true KitchenAid. I've had my stand mixer for 35 years and have no reason to believe I won't have this just as long. I use it daily with the cup to make my morning smoothie, I use the chopper weekly and have used most of the attachments a few times.
