  • Yippee. So many tools in one.
Color: Contour Silver Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
Very quiet! Like wow quiet. The only thing I hear is the stuff getting cut up. The blades are razor sharp. It does all the stuff the write up says it does. Reasonable price for the quality. Easy to use. So many modes of operation. Good gaskets, lid stays on.

  • Simple to use and does the job
Color: Contour Silver Style: 9 Cup W/ Whisk Pattern Name: Processor
This machine is so much easier to put together and clean than my heavy, large, expensive Cuisinart (that I rarely used and gave away). If I were buying it over again I would consider the next size up as I often double recipes, but this one is perfectly functional and a great value.

  • Great unit and the onboard blade storage it really nice
Color: Empire Red Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
So I got this for my wife to replace her 20 year old kitchenaid food processor. This new one has several advantages over the old one. 1. The motor noise is much lower, It's pretty quiet compared to the old one and just seems quiet in general. We'll see if that holds up longer term but I was impressed by the sound level. 2. The blade storage system is really nice. The old unit just didn't have a way to easily stack the blades and accessories inside the bowl. The jumble of parts made cut fingers a risk so we just didn't do it. The main blades stayed in but the rest of the parts were stored somewhere else. 3. Power seems really good. My wife has done some bread dough and a few other things so far and she's commented several times on how well it worked. 4. The bowl just lifts off. compared to the old one with it rotate and lift setup its just a little more convenient and easier to use. Only thing to get used to is the latching and safety systems. They're not bad but the lid has to be FIRMLY latched down to energize the unit. She had a couple of times where the lid was down and the rubber seal engaged but it wasn't down that last 2-3 millimeters to the latch was fully caught and the unit wasn't running. She asked me to look at it and for a minute I thought the breaker had tripped before I figured out the latch wasn't down 100%. Not a huge deal and once you figure it out you know to double check it but it's something to be aware of. In our case the problem was made worse because the power cord for the coffee machine on the other side of the kitchen island had gotten a little loose and the coffee maker wouldn't turn on. So initially it seemed like the power to the island was out all the way. ... show more

  • Easy to use!
Color: Empire Red Style: 9 Cup W/ Whisk Pattern Name: Processor
After having my 35 year standby Cuisinart food processor die, I opted for the Kitchenaid and am I glad I did~! Nicely crafted, it has a slimmer profile and I got it in jazzy red. The thing I noticed right away after shredding veggies was the two sizes the discs gives me. Also, the all purpose blade gives me very standard pieces throughout, no chunks that got missed. It's quieter and liquid doesn't sneak up the center stem like the Cuisinart and leak out. The bowl clicks in place with magnets (?) and locks with a handy clip - very much easier than the Cuisinart which locks by shoving the bowl and lid against the mechanism. Finally, all the discs and blades are stored right on the stem inside the bowl, for easy access. Very tidy! I did cut myself when I grabbed a disc in the center. So now I know to hold the discs by the rims instead. Can't wait to try out all the other blades (slicing, dough blade, etc.). Cleaning up is not a problem. There are less nooks and crannies that catch food material and can be easily rinsed and washed out. A gem of a food processor! I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Powerful food processor with a side benefit of fun
Color: Contour Silver Style: 7 Cup Food Processor Pattern Name: Processor
This was a great purchase. I decided to upgrade my kitchen appliances and this was one of the first things I got. The KitchenAid brand is reliable, affordable and well built unlike some other brands that I’ve used in the past. They also offer their small kitchen appliances in a selection of standard colors so you can easily get them to match even if it takes some time to collect the ones you need. I liked that it has a nice size base with a decent amount of weight to make it sturdy but not too heavy to make it a pain to move from the cabinet to prep area. The non slip grips on the feet are nice when you get slicing hard carrots at jet engine speeds! The 7 cup capacity is perfect for us. I was worried it might be too small but it’s perfect. It can accommodate several ingredients without having to empty it halfway through. Snap the base into place, make sure the spinning blade (or 2 sided slicing disk) is set to what size you need. Then feed the veggies through the pour top with safety plunger and in seconds you have a side dish. I stopped buying shredded or precut foods because it is cheaper to buy bulk and run it through the processor. It takes more time to slice a brick of cheese into pieces than will fit, than it does to actually shred the block. I love having fast and affordable taco night shredded cheese that doesn’t have any weird coating to prevent sticking and preserve it. Plus it’s a lot more fun than I expected. Something about it brought out the kid in me when I first used it and let’s be honest, we could all use a little bit more fun in our day to day lives. The only con I can really think of is only applicable if you never used a food processor: wash it immediately or you will regret it. (That’s more of a basic food thing, not a con for KitchenAid) Some hot water, drop of soap and turn it to medium for a bit and it gets most of the mess out. Overall I would recommend getting it. As a matter of fact, I often find myself thinking of recipes that I can make just to shred some stuff at high speed. ... show more
