This is a very nice set of high quality kitchen knives. This five (5) knife set comes complete with a 3.5” paring, 5” utility, 7” Santoku(sheepsfoot), 8” bread and 8” chef knives. Be very careful as these come extremely sharp right out of the nicely packaged foam lined box. The handles on these knives are heavy and are made of Pakkawood that is stained allowing the wood grain to show through. So far the these seem to hold the edge really well and haven’t needed to be sharpened after a lot of use. That’s using them with a wooden chopping block without abusing the edge. The chefs knife has a “Granton edge” which features small oval dimples or scallops on the sides of the blade that creates air pockets to prevent food from sticking to the blade. This also allows for faster, smoother cutting that reduces effort required for cutting. This set is really a great value for the money when figuring in the number of good quality knives that are included as one could easily pay as much or much more for a single chefs knife.

Beautifully made and presented as though for a gift, looking way more expensive than they are. The knives are very sharp and seem to be holding and edge. I love using the utility and paring knives but the larger knives are not comfortable for me. Comparing them to my "old" set I see that their handles are round and the older set the handles are ovals, this makes them easier to grip-for me anyway. If you have small or smallish hands you might want to consider that. These affordable knives are pretty and definitely sharp but there are some features of truly fine knives which they do not have such as the tang running the length of the handle, and the quality of the high carbon steel which is moderate quality. I still think they are a good value if they fit you and you are able to sharpen them as needed.

This is a beautiful knife set! I don’t know much about Pakkawood but these Pakkawood handles are not only stunning but also very comfortable to hold. They feel balanced and high quality, while the blades are incredibly sharp and cut effortlessly. I used this set to peel, core, and dice 20 lbs of apples this weekend, and it made the job an absolute breeze. Each knife handled perfectly for its size and purpose. Excellent craftsmanship and performance. I highly recommend for anyone who loves to cook or wants a reliable, elegant knife set.

The knives arrived in a very nice gift box. The Chefs knife is a little heavier then my old one but feels more balanced. The Chef knife is of course very sharp and cuts through veggies with ease. The bread knife is a little short for my Sourdough bread but will come in handy with rolls and buns. The pairing knife is really nice the blade is narrower then my old pairing knife which I like because it seems less cumbersome. The handles a re a very comfortable design and the Pakkawood feels good in the hand. Perfect gift for any home chef.

I love a sharp knife. Dull knives frustrate me, so these chef knives do not disappoint. They are very durable and sharp! Though they are dishwasher safe, I prefer to handwash my knives to reduce the risk of rust or corrosion. These knives are all you need. There is a knife for every situation, and these should not be used to complete random acts to keep their sharpness. These would make an excellent gift for an aspiring butcher, chef, or even a home cook. The price is a bit elevated, but these are borderline professional tools.
