It works great for what I wanted to use it for. I needed something that wasn’t hard or drying and added moisture. I mainly use it for twists and braids. The smell is an added benefit because sometimes I didn’t like the smell of the hair products after two days and I often use so I would have to wash it. Im glad that I no longer have to wash hair every three days. I haven’t been using it that long so I can’t comment on how long it would last because I try to wash my hair every two weeks and my kids hair every week unless it needs washing sooner. ... show more

I got this because my hair stylist uses it. It lays baby hairs like no other and lasts 2-3 days! Probably longer if you tie it down correctly before bed. And there’s no residue or flaking (at least for silk presses and braids). She uses watermelon which is okay, but the Very Cherry is BOMB!!! I bought this product because it does hold the edges down very well but i don’t like the feeling after when combing my hair. It’s almost like it leaves a residue behind and I don’t like that. Makes my hair greasier after so much use. I have it away, it’s not for me but it does work well.
