The fixture’s very nice for the money. For some reason I thought it came with a glass cylinder inside but it is all open. I know that means I’m going to get cobwebs but I’ll deal with that. It also cost me a lot more to have it installed by an electrician, but since it was in a staircase, it wasn’t some thing we were able to do ourselves. I chose to use frosted bulbs, as the clear ones were a little too bright. Since it is hanging in the stairwell, there are some areas where you were eye level with the bulbs so the frosted ones worked better. I did use 60 W. The fun aspect of the fixture, is that in the evening it casts very pretty pattern on the ceiling. And in the daytime when the sun shines just at the right angle, the light will hit that crystal at the bottom of the fixture and cause some little dancing fairy lights to appear on the wall for a brief period of time. We purchased these lights to update the ones installed by our builder 20 years ago. I was nervous that they might look cheap. However, they are actually quite substantial and give a more modern and clean look to our home while being complementary to the brushed nickel fixtures and stainless designs we have migrated to recently. I especially like the clear glass ball accent on the bottom part which gives it a more elegant designer look without going full on fancy glass chandelier with lots of bobbles. These are both simple and elegant. The lights are much brighter than our previous ones and an interesting shadow pattern is projected on the surrounding walls. We paid a handyman to install these for us as they are hard wired to our awkwardly high ceilings and included plenty of chain for the drop we needed. He completed the install of both lights in less than an hour. Highly recommend! ... show more

We bought two of these to hang over our bar and just installed them. We love them. A couple of the lights came crooked but probably can get bent back. They are heavy and definitely feel/look expensive. They were a PAIN to install and my boyfriend has done a lot of lights. The instructions were a bit confusing. Tip: Just look at the picture. The first one we installed is to long so we’ll have to adjust (chain has to be cut and we were a bit apprehensive to cut it to short) but our arms were killing trying to wire and get all the peices together and get this thing up there. Second one we installed at the height we like more but I imagine getting the second one to be an even height might be a bit of a challenge. We bought 60w daylight dimmable bulbs for this but feel like because our ceilings are not that tall that 40w might be better. 60w soft white might be alright too but not the look we are going for. It still puts off a lot of light when dimmed down all the way. ... show more

Really loved how the light turned out! Sturdy material, great design for price. I would buy again. A few things that could be improved is the bottom design was a little crooked - I left the crystal part off and maybe if I left it you would notice as much. Also adding the chain was a little bit of a pain but otherwise super happy! I would recommend to friends and family! ... show more
