Owned for a year. Have a cap brand free standing pull up bar that I put these into. Have put a 45lb Olympic barbell with 160lbs of plates on it (205lbs total) and it’s been rock solid. They’re a nice welded metal.

I got these for my old rack that had 1” holes. They work great so far and keep my bar a little more protected than the steel pins I was using. The only issue I’ve run into is one of my 1” sleeves slips a little and isn’t as secure as I’d like even after tightening them

These are the cheapest J hooks for a 3x3 rack I could find. They work. They fit a standard barbell well, but are a bit shallow for my multigrip bar. They use a rubber sticker inside to prevent metal on metal contact and have a screwed on rubber inside the cup also. I'm happy with the purchase, just know they're a bit shallow and the rubber may wear down over time ... show more

Work as advertised. I fabricated my own power rack station and these add just one more spot for the barbell. Clean construction, solid build, secure. The opening gives plenty of room for the bar and has a high enough lip to eliminate any concerns.

Upon first sight of these J-hooks on Amazon, I thought they would be a great fit for my needs. Holding them in my hands upon arrival, I was initially pleased with what I received. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. Firstly, there are two screws on each hook holding the rubber padding. This is a problematic design as the screws exit on the other side, causing damage to the paint on the rack. Before installing these, double-check that the screws are not sticking out. Secondly, these are not exactly 2x2 but 1/16 over 2”, which may not seem like a lot, but it’s enough to create a gap between the hook and the rack, resulting in a lot of noise and it does not feel very secure. To address this, I added two small pads used for furniture legs, which alleviated the issue to a greater extent. Thirdly, the rubber back of the J-hook is too short. Considering that my arms are not short when racking the barbell after doing a bench press, the barbell sometimes hits above the J-hook, causing a jerky movement and also scraping off the paint on the rack, as can be seen in my photos. Overall, I regret trying to save money by buying this product. I should have opted for a known brand and better quality hooks, which I now need to purchase anyway, along with fixing the paint job on my rack. ... show more
