  • Falling apart after a few months.
Color: Chicken Coop
*** UPDATE REVIEW Customer Service offered a refund on this product. I’ve only had this coop for 6 months. A side door started falling apart at around 4 months, I was able to maintain it with minor repairs but after getting wet during a snow storm it completely fell apart. Now the big opening on the side is coming apart. The staples that keep it together aren’t long enough, the wood is too soft, and the wood glue is minimal. If you’re willing to spend time reinforcing it than it’s fine, otherwise it doesn’t not hold up well against the elements. ... show more

  • Nice little coop
Color: Chicken Coop
I got this for a sick bantom. She needed a place to rest and this little coop is perfect. It is very small and could be comfortable for about 6 bantoms but no more than 3 standard chickens. It was easy to assemble, the directions were short, simple and easy to decipher. The coop is about as sturdy as you'd expect of a prefab coop and I like the double coop doors. One door opens to an enclosed run the other to the outside for free ranging. The price was reasonable and it came quickly and intact with no missing parts. Overall happy with the purchase ... show more

  • Perfect for our Quail Flock
The only thing I dislike about this is that I think the frame could benefit from being made by 2x2 or Thicker pieces of wood.. but it was easy to put together. I reccommend pre-drillling some holes that are not pre-drilled because it will split. Our yard is fenced and we have a great dane that chases everything that moves (she loves her quail though) so I'd say our predator threat is minimal. We did add hardware cloth to the bottom to keep predators from digging underneath. I used a staple gun to add more staples to the existing wire. We are considering adding a roof to the run, but thats a personal preference thing. We have 14 quail in our flock who are about 5 weeks old. They have ample space and love their new home. I could probably fit triple the amount comfortably, however, I like my birds to have lots of space. Will probably purchase again if I decide to increase my flock. I do think it's overpriced, but I needed something that sat low to the ground because quail are stupid and don't do well with tall ramps.. all in all.. I'd buy again and am happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Flimsy materials
Color: Chicken Coop
Easy to put together, however, my standard chickens broke one of the ramps within the 1st week. Material is very flimsy and fragile. I have it with only 3 chickens and I wouldn't recommend this for any more than that.

  • Wouldn't recommend!
I wouldn't recommend this coop to anyone who is even remotely serious about having chickens. This thing would hold, maybe, 2 grown chickens, and even then they would be cramped in it. The material quality is so poor, that it'll probably not even going to last a year, ans that's if I'm lucky enough. Wood is thin and very soft, everything is held by staples or tiny screws, the chicken wire is so thin that any animal of any size could get through it. Instructions are alright at best. Definitely regret the purchase and probably should have bought a solid built one by a local craftsman for a few hundred more, that would last a lifetime! ... show more

  • Good for what I am using it for
Ok, so I just needed this for my chicks to put it for them inside the big coop I have so the older chicken get used to them, the chicks are too young to use the old chickens feeders and that is my concern for for now till they are old enough not not get stuck in the feeder they can live inside this run inside the coop, so the run will be protected from the elements, and I am sure I can use it for my quails too, it won’t be sturdy if that’s what you’re looking for and it will last you 3-4 year max, I had one of those and that’s how long it lasted. So if you want something to last them you should buy real wood. If you want to put it inside a larger coop than it’s fine and your chicken will be safe. ... show more

  • Thin cheap wood, and not predator proof.
Color: Chicken Coop
The design concept is there, but overall there are just too many things that need to be fixed for the price. The coop is not safe from predators. There are multiple spots where an animal will be able to most likely pry the wood off because the wood is that soft and the gaps are what make that fact even worse. The photos with the nicks are just from the assembly of the box and removing it from the package. The egg box didn’t come with anything to hold the bottom plate down so I had to get some of my own screws, but there are still large gaps at the bottom. The roof is flaking off like crazy, and they provided so little screws to hold the actual frame together. The shelf that is removable for cleaning slides out with a touch and there is no way to secure it on either side which again will allow predators to easily get inside the coop. I would return this product but it costs more money to ship it back to them. The wood is so easy to break and Im a little frustrated with the fact that I can’t return it. I’m very disappointed with things I have purchased on Amazon lately. ... show more

  • It is a fine small flock house.
Color: Chicken Coop
It was easy to put together, we set it in the spot we wanted it. Then put bunched up pieces of chicken wire on top of the roof and the top of the nest box part. To keep the hens off, and they sleep inside. I hung a tarp to keep it dry from the chicken wire lid on the chain link, chicken wire augmented pen. Up in my neck of the woods, you cannot overdo predator protection. So far so good. Have this short handle leaf rake, I rake out the straw easil. There are four buff Orpington and one little black Silky hen. They snuggle up, it is cold, and they keep warm. Not a high end chicken house, but it is cozy enough. They aren't too impressed w the perches, they actually knocked one loose at the back and somehow kicked it out. Their way of expressing disapproval, I suppose. The rest of it they seem to like, they are laying in it, sleeping in it, I just scrape it out easily enough. So, could be the roosts need to be higher, but they cuddle up,with The Silkie in the middle, and they give it a medium approval rating. Not really super duper, but we are sleeping, staying warm and feel safe at night.🐔 ... show more
