The bag is lovely. High quality, especially for the price, lush padding, good workmanship, attractive, well finished. I expected something pretty basic, but this is really nice. I live up in the exurbs and wanted something nice for when I come down to the city and need to bring a few things, documents, etc. I already have one bag that is functional, but kind of cheap in design and looks that way. I wanted a step up, and this fits the bill. I have a 13"laptotp that fits fine - this is really a laptop bag, but that wasn't my intended use, but if I want to bring my laptop and my iPad, I'm covered. I wanted a small messenger bag, and I got that and more. Plus, the finish means I don't have to change to something else if I go into a high level meeting. This is REALLY nice!
