This custard helps keep your curls soft and curly all day. I've found that a liquid gel works better for my curls to last, although the liquid gel leaves a cast that is sticky and not nice to touch, where this custard keeps the curls softer, they just don't last as long.

Keeps hair style all day long, has a great fragrance, and it doesn't flake. Great if you have really kinky and tightly curly hair. It is easy to style when wet and it drys fast without leaving hair sticky.

    • Mixed this with my temporary color
If you use temporary colors like ASIAM or Curlsmith hair makeup and you find that you are getting much transfer, what I found out is if you mix Kinky Curly hair gel with these color makeup, sit under the dryer or blow dry your hair until totally dry (an hour to an hour and a half) you will see that you hardly get any transfer. Kinky Curly acts as an adhesive to the color and it locks the color onto your hair. When I saw that this works, I was thrilled. I took three teaspoons of ASIAM blue color and mixed them with teaspoons of Kinky Curly, and I finger-coiled my hair. I sat under the dryer for an hour, put on my satin cap, and went to sleep. The next day, when I un-coiled my hair, I noticed that I did not have almost any color on my fingers. After a few days, you will get flaking, but not that transfer that I used to get. Now, I can use the temp color with more confidence with I mix the Kinky Curly with it. Try it and see how it works for you. ... show more
