The big difference is most of the games work right out of the box. I purchased a couple USB fans & places the console on them. Runs excellent. Even the controller is decent.

This is my fourth "Retro" plug and play system and I'm happy to say the fourth times the charm! I've bought a few of the cheaper retro emulator devices and it has been very hit and miss. Some scratched the itch and some were pure garbage. The X5 pro has been exactly what I was looking for. True easy plug and play with an amazing library of games and granted its not cheap but you really find out quick how much the extra money provides an amazing experience. No lagging or clipping and it has PlayStation, PS2, and GameCube. And they all work flawlessly. Definitely check YouTube for some reviews to see if this is for you but as someone who doesn't want to mess around with a computer the ease of this setup is perfect. That said, it is extremely easy to complicate things for yourself if you start messing around with emulators and screwing with settings. I don't touch anything, just turn it on and play my RPGs and I'm happy. Its pure nostalgia to relive Final Fantasy games all the way up to PS2! The Kinhank customer service is good and the Kinhank Facebook community is extremely helpful and active so even if you do screw something up there's probably a YouTube video or person willing to help. I'm very happy and even though it was on the pricey side the sheer volume and libraries of games is well worth it. Extremely happy with my choice!

This system is great for anyone that loves old game and want to share them with other. Had a little problem setting system up and the customer support team help quickly and responsive with quick corrections. Would do business with them again. Thank y'all.

This thing is absolute trash. Please heed my warning! The controller flipped out after having it for 2 days! The menu screen flipped every which way possible. I ordered an alternative controller for it and it only worked for the menu screen and did nothing once I selected a game. The hard drive wasn't the problem it was completely the console! If you are a computer savvy person you might be able to fix it when it messes up but how many times will you have to do that?? Especially if the controller doesn't work properly. They need to come up with something better to run the games on. Even if it cost more money. People will pay for it! It's better to get something that works for more money than get something that doesn't work for any money.

I have had my Kinhank XPro 5 for a year and 4 months now. It is a great system. Is it perfect no but if you want a higher end plug and play this is it. If my math is right I have about 600hrs of PT on this unit. DISCLAIMER: YOU MUST PLUG THE HARD DRIVE INTO THE XPRO 5 BEFORE PLUGGING IT TO A POWER SOURCE!!!!!!! If you don’t it will not see the games! It has 2 front ends that are both user friendly I prefer the Pegasus front end. Kinhank has some YouTube tutorials on how to do different things which is helpful. It will run most PS2 and GameCube games with little issue. ( I did have issues running games like Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance that run on the snow blind engine) but all the other games I tried ran just fine. Some games prefer Vulcan or OpenGL try changing that setting first if you are having an issue. Hardware is pretty durable. I travel with mine often and it has held up surprisingly well. I wish it was a single unit instead of an android box and a hard drive out all loosely-goosey!! The Gamsir T3 controller is a decent controller (massive upgrade from what came with previous models). It came preconfigured for all systems even the standalone emulators outside of Retroarch. ( I did have a issue with the GameCube controls having the Z button being mapped on the R1 which was already in use) the wireless dongle gave out after 6 months so I’ve been playing it wired. The controller itself held up till now (1y-4M) one of the D-pad buttons finally bit the dust. The Game Libraries are pretty sold. It is a smaller library than a lot of other plug and plays the show game numbers like (65k or 114k games) but it is a very curated library with just North American versions. Which is nice not having to sift through regional versions. Are all the games there no but all the important stuff is there. It does have an 3DS library but not an DS library and it Does have a Wii library with about 30 games on it ( sorry I haven’t played any of them so I can’t really comment on it) It does have Switch library with one game. My biggest complaint game library wise is the Genesis library is full of duplicates or the wrong game loads when you select a game in some cases. I also wish Kinhank would provide the Hacked Library like they did on the X3Plus Customer support is hit and miss. Sometimes they respond sometimes they don’t. Reddit and the Kinhank FB group are your best friend for any troubleshooting support. I own two superconsole X3 Plus , X PRO 5 and the Xmotion and out of all the Kinhank products that I have the Xpro 5 is the best they have made.
