What is Voicemod Key? Voicemod Key is a little piece of hardware that connects a headset, your smartphone, and a gaming console together to allow real-time voice changing and soundboards on console voice chat. Previously, this was impossible—and by far our most-requested feature. And now, we’ve made the impossible, possible. How does it work? We use the power of your smartphone! Voicemod Key sits between your headset and your console—and uses the Voicemod mobile app to change your voice in real-time. Once we’ve done that little bit of magic, your new voice is sent to your console voice chat. Works with soundboards too! Does Voicemod Key work with any console? Voicemod Key is compatible with all Xbox and PlayStation consoles. It also supports Nintendo Switch 2 (direct-to-console connection only), but does not support Nintendo Switch 1 (since voice chat on that platform is handled via its mobile app). Voicemod Key does not support BlueTooth—you need a headset with a 3.5mm TRRS connector (that’s the small one, with three rings on the connector!) Does Voicemod listen to my conversations? Voicemod will NEVER listen to your chats. All processing is performed locally on your smartphone, and no voice data is sent to any Voicemod server. Our app will request microphone access—this is only so we can apply our audio processing. Does Voicemod Key need to be charged? No. Voicemod Key is ‘bus-powered’—this means it gets all the power it needs from your smartphone. No chargers, no batteries, no worries. What do I need to use Voicemod Key? You need a mobile device with at least iOS 16, Android 8.1, internet connection and our Voicemod mobile app running. You also need your Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo Switch 2 for playing online. Does Voicemod Key work with wireless devices? In short: No, it doesn’t. Currently, Voicemod Key is only compatible with wired devices to ensure stable performance and low latency. This thing is an absolute piece of crap.. super buggy. It didnt work at ALL with my victrix bfg pro controller. I could hear myself when I hit the button on the hardware but it would never actually play the sounds through my voice chat. So then I finally hooked up the original ps5 controller, and an original ps5 headset.. and it would play the sounds through the chat, but the actual game sounds did not play through my headset so I could hear the chat but not the game.. Then after changing voices a few times etc.. it just stopped changing my voice and people could only hear my normal voice. It costs $50 for the hardware, then you have to pay money and SUBSCRIBE and pay monthly to use the voices or sounds.. or pay another $50 lifetime fee to access the voices and sounds. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT, it hardly even works! It causes more fustration than anything. What a complete piece of crap. I’m so mad I spent my time and money on this. Also, if you get a call on your phone and answer it, that also ruins the sound board and it stops playing the voice mods or sounds. F this crap ... show more

Before I get into my review, keep in mind the VMKey DOES NOT grant you access to Voicemod PRO. Now, that said, it's a good product. Does what it says, but my only complaint is that for mine, the hear your voice button on the device doesn't work, so no matter what I'm stuck hearing my voice no matter what. Not a huge issue for me, but for other that might get unlucky, it might prove to be a deal breaker. Other than that, the set up was simple enough that even a child could do it, and didn't require any extra apps (outside of Voicemod itself), and it pairs pretty well with any headset that takes a 3.5mm audio jack. TL;Dr it's good, you need to buy Voicemod PRO separately, and it might have hardware issue that makes it so you always hear your own voice no matter what. ... show more

Absolutely one of the worst devices I've ever used it doesn't work within more than half the time and if you do get to use it it only works for a few minutes and then stops working their app is even worse their choices for voices are very poor and their sound options choices are terrible as well I on my way of thinking about this thing is no more worth than $5 Max no more no less because it is terrible I would even buy this for your kids because it won't even work more than half the time and then get mad and probably end up breaking it that's my honest opinion cuz this thing is trash ... show more

Worked great for 2 days then it randomly stopped working. Seen many other people online have same issue and support seemingly goes no where. If you decide to purchase this item good luck on whether yours will function or not. I will most likely be requesting a refund unless their support is any help this time. The VMKey is made from cheap feeling plastic. Edit: after posting this review I was given a full for this product, to me, showing they truly care about me as a customer. After trying on and off for a couple weeks I managed to get it to work at 2 different points making this seem to me to be more of a software issue rather than hardware. Hopeful they can resolve these issues because this is rather fun to use online with friends. ... show more
