These chairs are awesome! A friend of mine had a set of them around her firepit and admired them. She gave me the link so that I could purchase my own. I was building my own firepit area up at our cabin in Maine. My husband helped me by digging up all of the rocks and boulders from the large circle of ground where I wanted the firepit to be. We filled the area with gravel first, then some nicer, more aesthetically pleasing rock. The fire pit is simply a fire ring placed in the middle. Some small boulders were left within the ring as extra seating or side tables, with the six Adirondack chairs circling the firepit. The red color that I chose matches our red cabin and really pops against the backdrop of birches, hemlocks and other trees surrounding our property. The chairs have been in place for about two years and have held up very well against the weather in Maine AND people of various weights sitting in the chairs. They are very comfortable to sit in. The arms of the chair are great for holding your drink, phone, plate, etc. The chairs have stayed relatively clean, only needing a bit of wiping down when pollen and spiderwebs collect on them. I would definitely buy these chairs again and actually, I plan on doing so because I want to make a separate seating area on our property, down closer to the lake. By the way, I was able to put all six chairs together myself. Also, even though I do not plan on using this option, they can be folded simply by pulling two pins out, and then they can be stored without taking up so much space.

But once assembled the chair is very comfy and I love having the little cup holder. Pros: - It was fairly easy to assemble. No issues with fit or holes not lining up. - Looks great! (Wife even likes it so there ya go). Forest green color is very nice. - Folds up as advertised. - Sturdy. It is hefty feeling. Big step up from cheap molded plastic chairs. - arms sections nice and level for beverages. - all pieces have smooth rounded edges. Cons: - it's just not comfortable for me, and have to take a star off. A relaxed, laid-back, chill seating position is the whole vibe and purpose of an Adirondack chair, and this severely misses the mark. It is a more upright seating style. Some may prefer it, but I like to melt into the chair and that's just not possible. Close to a 90 degree angle relative to the seat. (See photo with angle square). I would need closer to a 110+ deg angle. Too bad it doesn't have multiple back positions. Also the front slat goes up at an increased angle then drops abruptly digging into the back of my legs/knees. While they're useable for general patio furniture etc, I certainly would not look forward to sitting in these without some Iumbar pillow support and maybe something at the front transition point. Clearly designed on a computer. - can be difficult to fold OUT. It's a weird dance with this back section getting it's pivoting started while simultaneously folding the seat section down. Hard to explain but you'll see. Not something you'll want to do daily. There may be better options out there, but I could not even find these at local box stores, so Amazon really was best option. Edit: I ended up adding a small metal plate and some extra metric bolts and nuts I had around to extend the back angle. Holes about 2 inches apart. Made all the difference. This will affect the strength and how it folds though, so I don't recommend doing this, but it was the quick fix for my preference. Also the arms will no longer be level. I also ended up modifying the angle of the two front seat slats. (See photo) Huge pain to do but it made a huge difference. Dont recommend trying this unless you're good with woodworking. The material cuts and sands similar to wood which is handy. Fwiw.

The chairs are sturdy and made of thick plastic. The hardware comes in a sealed package, with every screw and nut clearly labeled. It includes a small Allen wrench and a wrench for the nuts, but I would highly recommend using an electric screwdriver or drill. We purchased four chairs, and all four came with everything needed for assembly. The backs and seats are preassembled. We only had to attach the legs and arms. Assembly required a reasonable amount of work. It took more than 15 minutes per chair, but it was straightforward and not difficult. The instructions were clear, and all of the parts fit together properly.

We live in a hurricane region so having outdoor furniture that is easily folded or moved to the garage is necessary. In the past we've purchased inexpensive resin chairs at big box home stores as they stack and are easy to move around for more seating. However, because they are so light, they tend to blow around the yard and always seem to end up in the pool. Last year we decided to try these chairs out. They look great and are very sturdy where the others were decisively flimsy. They also fold down flattish which is important for us as they can be stacked and moved inside without taking up as much room. The arm rest is nice and wide to hold a drink but the overall footprint is smaller than other adirondack chairs which is a nice feature for us. They are a composite material but everything is smooth and well constructed. Be aware, assembly does take awhile and is somewhat awkward if it's just one person. The learning curve is quick as the second chair didn't take me as long. The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. However, the instructions tell you to not tighten certain areas or the foldability is lost. I found that it's next to impossible to assemble it correctly when entire areas of the chair are collapsing and working against you. So if you're assembling this by yourself, tighten everything to get it assembled, then go back and loosen the areas that need to be able collapse. Because my grandaughter quickly figured out how to pull the pin that holds everything in place, I kept things on the tighter side and can easily loosen if we're preparing for a storm.

It feels reasonably sturdy for the price, but the arm rests have more wobble than I’d like. Assembly was ok. I appreciated that all pieces were clearly labeled, but didn’t appreciate that the labels on exposed areas are very hard to scrape off. Having to hold the nuts in place with the supplied flat wrench is a huge pain. Use your own tools if possible. Also, one of the instruction steps misidentifies a screw in the text description (it’s correct in the diagram). Unnecessary confusion. My big issue is that the holes for the locking bolts are badly misaligned. This is going to create an unacceptable safety issue. On one side, they’re aligned enough to fit the allen wrench, but the other side is so misaligned, you can’t even do that. If I had to buy another one, I’d go with a different brand and hope the quality control is a little better.

We have had this set of 4 Kingyes Adirondack chairs for 7 months now. They are very well built and very comfortable. My wife did add some seat cushions for warmth on cooler nights. Assembly was straight forward and the hardware seem to be of good quality. Overall were are happy with our purchase. The chairs in the picture have been sitting outside since last October and they still look like new.
