  • Works in Synology DS918+
Capacity: 4GB Style: 1866MHz
Recently purchased this memory since it is half the cost of 'Synology' brand. Everything boots and displays accurately. Someone had a misleading post about this memory running at 1333mhz, but as you can see from my screenshots, dmidecode clearly shows the proper 1866mhz. I *will* report back if I experience any foul issues with my DiskStation, but based on my CS degree and 15 years of IT experience, I think it'll work just fine. ;) UPDATE: 2-years later and my Synology is still purring like a cat. In fact, I decided to buy *more* of this memory for my Dell XPS I recently purchased. Dell always puts 'good' parts in their XPS, but I wanted 'great' memory. As you can see I went from 16gb to 32gb, but my Memory Mark scores also went from 79th percentile to 93rd! This is good stuff. ... show more

  • Synology ds218+
Capacity: 4GB Style: 1866MHz
Works in Synology DS218+ after installed 2 x 4 GB of the HX318LS11IB/4. I used 2 sticks b/c I figured the different latencies wouldn't work well (Synolgoy is CL13, HyperX is CL 11) -- another reviewer got "no joy" with just one stick. Per Intel the max the CPU can recognize is 8Gb and that is why I choose 2 of these sticks (to match). There is a good Youtube video about pulling the DS218+ apart. Oh, removing the 2Gb Synology stick voids your warranty sooooo there is that risk. I am creating my volume as I type. Should I discover anything unusual, like the memory defaults to a lower frequency -- I'll follow up. (I'm new to this but eventually I'll figure out how to check the ram via the command prompt.) ... show more

  • A disappointing experience with technical support
They sent the product, new, sealed with warranty. And, it didn't work when I loaded Windows 10 pro, 64 bit. After few searches, and discussions over MS community, it felt like the memory is the culprit. But, their representative on Amazon, did not agree, argued unreasonably over technicality like processor generation and all that. And, it took me 2 long weeks to do all sorts of testing. At last I figured out, prepared the documents and evidence why it is faulty. Got in touch with support ANZ. Provided them BIOS report, cpuz scan report, showing the memory installed on my system and running. Crucial scan reports on my system, memtest86 test run fail, and Windows 10 crashes, the specs of my processor and motherboard. And, their response was again a nightmare to digest. Still I thought, in a complex technical situation, it is possible to judge errors. So, I requested their technical team, to allow me to come over to test their memory if they have doubts, provide me a replacement to check my computer problems - And, they are so surprisingly adamant, unbelievable. After seeing all the technicalities, they joined the same slogan their representative on amazon sang, without any thoughts and study. "My computer is not compatible." They are behind a specsheet from Acer, that is not applicable and they don't even allow me to cross check. I have requested a warranty claim, and waiting for their mercy. Not only this, I am in Sydney, and as per warranty terms, I can ship to authorized dealers here for claim or replacement. But when I requested, they are asking me to ship to Amazon or I need to ship to Taiwan, their headquarters! ... show more

  • Works with Macbook Pro Early 2011 17 inch
Capacity: 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) Style: 1600MHz
Works with Macbook Pro Early 2011 17 inch. Memory works well. Upgraded my Mac to the actual (not advertised) limitation of 16GB (official Apple documentation states maximum is 8GB, which is not true). Further, this is the 1600 speed, which is faster than the 1333 that came with the Mac originally, and it works just fine. This upgrade, along with an SSD, will make a significant performance increase in my Macbook, allowing another 2-3 years of useful service life (and make OS X upgrades more palatable with the extra memory). Jan 31 2015 Update: Over 2 months installed, still working fine, not a single hiccup. Very satisfied with this choice for Macbook memory. I have since upgraded from OS X Lion to Mountain Lion (10.8), still no issues with the memory or the SSD at all (Samsung Evo 840 1TB). ... show more

  • Worked with Synology DS218+
Capacity: 4GB Style: 1866MHz
Bought this ram because other users stated it worked with some of the other Synology models. Worked perfectly out of the box and DSM is showing the upgrade. Buying another 4GB to make it 8GB total. Synology states a 6GB limitation but the OS is saying otherwise. Take a look at the screenshot, "Maximum Capacity: 16GB"! FYI - In order to show the Ram info you have to SSH into the unit and run the following command "dmidecode --type memory". This also confirms that it is running at 1866mhz, not 1600mhz like others have stated. Good luck all! ... show more

  • AMD plug and play at rated speed
Capacity: 32GB kit (2 x 16GB) Style: 3200MHz
I bought this specifically because the HyperX was the only 32GB kit I could find in stock with a JEDEC 3200MHz profile. Works perfectly in a Ryzen 7 4800 based laptop. I've used Hyper X in several desktops before and never had a reliability problem. I would expect the same here.

  • Awesome ram for a great price!
Capacity: 8GB Style: 1600MHz
Awesome ram! It worked for my Dell Inspiron 11 inch 2 in 1 :) It shows as 7.89 GB of ram (117 MB reserved for graphics) When I got the ram I simply unscrewed the bottom screws placed the new ram stick in and turned it on after I put it all back together and it turned on just like normal. I havent seen much of a speed increase but I am able to open more tabs in my browser and have more things open at the same time without it slowing down! I am giving this ram 5 stars because it worked just like its suppose to. Should you upgrade the ram in your laptop? Well that depends, if you have 2 GB of ram I would suggest upgrading because Windows 7 and Windows 8 takes about 1 GB of ram up to 1.5 GB of ram alone. Thats not even counting the programs you want to use. If you have 4 GB of ram I would suggest you dont upgrade unless your using things like photoshop or you like having 20 different webpages open or you just want to make your machine more future proof (Like me lol). I hope this review helped some people if you have any questions or you just want to simply leave a comment please feel free to do so :) ... show more
