Like: once I got it working, I could hide my wiring and not use the "cigarette" 12V port Dislike: It took me a long time and many hours spent troubleshooting before I gave up and figure the device itself was wired wrong. Long and short, I decided to hardwire my Kingslim D4, as I didn't like that my 12V plug would sometimes work loose from the port and the wire had to wrap in an inconvenient way anyway. Ordered this hardwire kit. Hardwired. It is did not work as expected. My cam would power on immediately, even when car was off. It would not go into Parking mode. I checked all software settings. Nope. I tested voltages of fuse ports and thought I was doing the right thing. Checked, and double-checked. Rewired to make sure connections were good. No dice. Contact Kingslim. They replace the Dashcam. Still no good. I buy fusetap kits (I had used the inelegant "wrap wire around fuse post" method previously). Still no good. Tried other know ports (that I didn't want to use originally, as they are higher-risk ports). Still now good. Rewire back to other ports and think about. I retest everything including car on/off voltages of ports. I am certain I am right on my end. I decide the wires on the kit are colored and labeled incorrectly. I rewire them to the WRONG ports (the ACC (red) to an always-one fuse port and the VCO (yellow) to a car power-controlled fuse port). Magiliciously, putting the kit's wires to the opposite ports works. So, I am basically happy with the kit, but the mis-wiring seems so obvious but wasted hours of my time and Kingslim a D4 kit. ... show more

hard wired everything perfectly fine. If I don't drive for a day it drains the battery. Sick and tired of it, switched it to a different fuse so I guess I don't have 24/7 camera anymore. Does not turn camera off at certain voltage. It's just a hardware kit. Do not trust this.

It worked for a few months and then it started completely draining the battery overnight. The low battery protection component simply does not work.
