It is super portable, and I can bring it back and forth between my RV and my house. It is a workhorse!!! Easy to use... and most likely won't have issues. I have used PID controllers before... and they mostly all work well. This is my 5th pellet grill... Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say about the King Chii thus far. Super basic build... which is good for a super easy clean... (you have to vacuum out pellet grills here and there).... I can throw this grill (although still 300 sq inchs big) in my vehicle and we can go wherever. Don't sleep on this.. I am happy with my purchase. ... show more

OK, so I'm not...mechanically inclined. I can't tell a screwy thingy from a twisty thingy, and don't get me started on the bangy thingy. It took me about 45 minutes to put together, and I only needed help from my wife once (she had to use the screwy thingy a couple times while I held the heaty thingy). Overall, it wall really pretty simple to construct. After the first burn, I cooked some corn on the cob. It turned out great; very good smoky flavor. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. EDIT: I still love this smoker, I just want to make an update based on my experience so far. Mine seems to smoke a little on the cool side. If a recipe calls for cooking at 225, I need to set mine at 250. Absolutely no problem for me, now that I know it, but it's something to be aware of. ... show more

I was stuck between a gravity feed for around $200 more. I dont regret my purchase as this is portable and I'll be able to take it to other friends/family houses or camping. I've only used Kirkland pellets and the smoke flavor is mild to medium. I'm sure with other pellets and the possibility of adding some whole wood chips or chunks to the fire box would increase the smoke flavor. I haven't tried this yet. I was able to fit a 13lb brisket inside. Cooked for around 14 hrs and went though maybe 3/5 of the hoppers pellets. It doesn't come with anything for adding a 2nd rack but I can just buy a rack with legs if needed. I plan to do this for making jerky soon. It does have 2 threaded holes in the front for what I would expect to be a front table to attach. But it doesn't come with one and I can't find it as an aftermarket. I might bend some metal and make a DIY one if I'm really in need but so far I'm fine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I really enjoy this smoker, especially for the affordable price. I have smoked ribs, brisket, and beef plate ribs so far and each turned out excellent. Pros: -Great price -Easy to use and setup -Feels solid -Does the job. I've smoked some incredible meals so far -Portable Areas of Improvement: -No trap door for the pellets if you need to get them out of the hopper -You have to work the temp up slowly at the beginning, but once it stabilizes it holds very well Overall, if you're looking for an affordable, reliable smoker, this will do the trick. I bought this for my husband for Father’s Day based on the reviews… bad decision. This thing won’t hold a temp. It jumps all over the place. It doesn’t put out much smoke either. I bought some of the best pellets (Recteq) as well, and still, nothing. Returning it.

The media could not be loaded. I used this thing for the first time, smoking baby back ribs @ about 300⁰ f for about 4 hours and the thing was so easy to control. True set and forget unless u wanna spray or crutch or whatever u do personally. Side note, make sure you put tinfoil over the grease tray to make it easier to clean The temp might be slightly off one way or another but it's reasonably accurate. The smoker is also pretty efficient. 4 hour smoke used MAYBE 3 quarters of the storage ... show more

This grill works great. It's even portable with folding legs. When I had an issue with mine after awhile they sent me a replacement immediately. Highly recommend!
