We were very surprised with how solid everything was. Yes, it’s like building a very complicated IKEA item, but worth it. The only drawback is that once you start building, there’s no going back. We found a few corners were damaged and two pieces were yellowed a bit. The seller was great and offered us a small refund to compensate. But seriously, once you start, the idea of returning it is a “no go”. Also, it’s delivered in two boxes. We weren’t aware of that until after we completely unpacked the first box. At the bottom was a bite that said “this is one of two boxes”. Here’s our suggestion on how to go about building this: 1. Wait for the second box to come in. 2. Unpack everything and sort every board. You’ll need some space. 3. Inspect every piece. If there’s issues, now is the time to repack it and return it if you can’t live with the issues. Unfortunately we found ours as we were building it. 4. Have two extra Allen wrenches, wrench, screwdriver with a ratchet. 5. Go step by step. Don’t try to think ahead. There’s screws, cam nuts, and so many parts to this thing. Follow the directions and go step by step. They’ve thought of everything! It’s a solid, strong, beautiful piece of furniture - especially for the price! But schedule the time. It took us a solid 8 hours. Hubby worked a few hours without me then I jumped in. And make sure you’ve got the space to sort and out the boards. Five stars because it’s a great bed!

It did take a long time to assemble. It is best with 2 people to get done quicker. But it is a super nice bed frame. Sturdy and everything fit great. It is super heavy so it actually should be delivered freight but it isn't so I feel bad for my single FedEx driver. Everything works on the frame (the lights) and for the price it is great. Would recommend if you want a budget friendly project! Also, I'd recommend purchasing a bottle of glue (I used gorilla glue) because they don't send you enough in the package.

So when I received two large boxes, I was a little intimidated as to how long it would take to build the bed frame. I am handy, so I was up for the challenge. Much to my surprise, the instructions where clear and easy to follow. As I was building the frame, I was also happy with the quality of the product. I was expecting cheap, but the pieces where nice and there were good firm pieces that made me feel like the bed frame would hold up nicely. Took about 8 hours to build, but for the price and quality, worth it. Overall, very happy and would recommend this to a friend.

This bed is TIME CONSUMING to put together BUT worth it!!! It exceeds my expectations. It provides storage, charging outlets and it's absolutely beautiful! I would love to have one in every room but I can't invest that amount of time for assembly.

There are a lot of pieces as others have mentioned, but it puts together quite nicely and it looks good in person. The instructions are picture based, but easy enough to follow. I recommend sorting the parts first to make the building process more straight forward. The storage is plentiful and secure. - My biggest complaint are the garbage plastic pieces that the bed slats push into. The bottom pegs are supposed to be forcibly pushed into the metal side rails, but you have to push down on the slats to try and even out the bottom pegs or they just bend and become not useable. I have 5 that are completely unuseable because I couldn't get them to pop in and 5 others that got warped and not firmly secure. It would have been better to bolt them into place like other pieces in the build. I'll have to likely redo the slats another way to keep them secure. I spent 1hr on slats alone and you don't get extras. Trash. - Other negative are the 4 cubbies (non drawer) that don't actually have a top/ceiling to create an enclosed box, so if you have small animals, especially cats, they will be able to get under the central bed. I'll have to find a way to enclose those spaces. - Be careful with small screws, they can strip easily if you don't supply enough force to get them to bite, being manufactured/compressed wood.

Almost impossible to find a bed you assemble without significant complaints about the quality. Not this one - this one is rock solid. And I can't believe you get so much. I was surprised that it came with built in outlet. It's so nice to have. But believe the feedback about the assembly time - 8hrs for two people. I'm a handyman and I figured that much time was for amateurs, but it took that much time for me too. Just a head's up on the assembly. There are so may pieces and you start with inserting the attachment studs. You wind up with many pieces with studs sticking out of them. I just put these pieces on the floor on top of each other. The studs wound up scratching some of the pieces that were on top of them. No fault of bed itself, just not a good way to assemble it. You can buy this item with confidence.
