Not only did the seller respond to my initial message within only hours but also shipped my packages back out immediately. Assembly was very complex and there is a multitude of hardware but if you love puzzles and challenges it's actually a lot of fun. The bed itself is stunning! Very sturdy kit, well made with more connection points than a cheaper kit might have. Takes a long time to put together- 10-11 hrs by myself but well worth it. We ordered this king size bed frame, spent 8 hours in 1 day just to complete the headboard due to some hiccups. We ended up paying somebody to come complete the build for us. It takes a very very long time and it's very heavy. The quality of the wood is very nice, its very sturdy. We had a few damaged areas on the wood from shipping, both of the boxes were pretty battered upon arrival. They were very padded but still managed a few small flaws. The selling company was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Very responsive and quick with it. We ended up getting some money compensation back for the bed due to the wood damage, missing hardware and some holes wouldn't align properly when building. If you buy this, either be a pro builder or be prepared to hire somebody to complete it because its a beast! (Check Thumbtack for assembly pros.) ... show more

    • Prepare for a solid 8 hours of build time!

We were very surprised with how solid everything was. Yes, it’s like building a very complicated IKEA item, but worth it. The only drawback is that once you start building, there’s no going back. We found a few corners were damaged and two pieces were yellowed a bit. The seller was great and offered us a small refund to compensate. But seriously, once you start, the idea of returning it is a “no go”. Also, it’s delivered in two boxes. We weren’t aware of that until after we completely unpacked the first box. At the bottom was a bite that said “this is one of two boxes”. Here’s our suggestion on how to go about building this: 1. Wait for the second box to come in. 2. Unpack everything and sort every board. You’ll need some space. 3. Inspect every piece. If there’s issues, now is the time to repack it and return it if you can’t live with the issues. Unfortunately we found ours as we were building it. 4. Have two extra Allen wrenches, wrench, screwdriver with a ratchet. 5. Go step by step. Don’t try to think ahead. There’s screws, cam nuts, and so many parts to this thing. Follow the directions and go step by step. They’ve thought of everything! It’s a solid, strong, beautiful piece of furniture - especially for the price! But schedule the time. It took us a solid 8 hours. Hubby worked a few hours without me then I jumped in. And make sure you’ve got the space to sort and out the boards. Five stars because it’s a great bed! ... show more

    • Seems solid. Plentiful Storage. Disaopointing Drawbacks.

There are a lot of pieces as others have mentioned, but it puts together quite nicely and it looks good in person. The instructions are picture based, but easy enough to follow. I recommend sorting the parts first to make the building process more straight forward. The storage is plentiful and secure. - My biggest complaint are the garbage plastic pieces that the bed slats push into. The bottom pegs are supposed to be forcibly pushed into the metal side rails, but you have to push down on the slats to try and even out the bottom pegs or they just bend and become not useable. I have 5 that are completely unuseable because I couldn't get them to pop in and 5 others that got warped and not firmly secure. It would have been better to bolt them into place like other pieces in the build. I'll have to likely redo the slats another way to keep them secure. I spent 1hr on slats alone and you don't get extras. Trash. - Other negative are the 4 cubbies (non drawer) that don't actually have a top/ceiling to create an enclosed box, so if you have small animals, especially cats, they will be able to get under the central bed. I'll have to find a way to enclose those spaces. - Be careful with small screws, they can strip easily if you don't supply enough force to get them to bite, being manufactured/compressed wood. ... show more

This company is absolutely amazing!!! It took us 18 hours to put this together, however it would have took less time if we weren’t chasing a toddler around and tending to children. The directions are very clear and straightforward, but it is crafted to perfection. I haven’t found this type of sturdy craftsmanship in a very long time. It’s definitely worth every penny. I’ve slept so well in this bed and I’m a rather large woman. The best sleep I have had in a very long time. My daughter wants one and so does my son. Your mattress really doesn’t slide. The height is nice but average not too low and not too high. ... show more

Flimsy junk. As much as it cost to get this bastard to my house I expected it to be well built. Guess what, ITS NOT! This thing is built about as well as a cheap tv stand from Walmart. This was an absolute waste of money.
