I wanted a metal frame that was a Twin XL for an upcoming van life project. I also needed the frame to be lightweight, so wood was out! This frame came to my attention and I jumped at the chance to get it. I'm so glad I did. This will work perfectly in my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 'stow-and-go' seats. I can also trim the legs in places with a reciprocating saw to meet my needs. 100% recommended.

We were in the process of redoing a room in our home to make a spare bedroom for guests and needed a small bed to fit in the small space where our treadmill is (8 foot x 10 foot room). This bed frame fit perfect in our room and accommodated a nice 14" double-pillow top Twin XL mattress we purchased (you know the kind that arrives rolled up looking like nothing then - poof - they are inflated! LOL). We have a king size bed frame that is made like this frame so we were no stranger to the tools needed but - surprise to us - the tools are included in the parts!! The Twin XL frame is sturdy and states it will hold up to 300 lbs. I believe it. The steel pieces you use to create the frame are strong. We felt no give after sitting on the bed and didn't experience any areas on the frame that we were worried would break from regular use. This bed frame arrives with orange clips to hold the interval brackets in place. I did put a bed skirt on the bed as I found without it, you could see the orange peeking out at certain points (which didn't fit well with our color scheme). There isn't a "lip" where the mattress drops down into the frame at all so, just be aware that your mattress will be kind of floating on top of the frame. There is about 16 1/2" of useable space under the bed for storage. We love this as the room we placed this in is our spare room so, to keep things neat, we purchased totes and store items under the bed. Note that one of the frames you can order is a Twin XL frame (this is what we ordered & received) so you have to be sure the mattress, sheets, and bed skirt are for a Twin XL bed. It's a little longer than a standard Twin (which is what we wanted for our guests' comfort). This frame is definitely worth the price paid. We see no issues at all with this frame giving out. It is well made.

This frame works well for mattresses without needing a box spring. Takes a while to out together, but no difficult. Does get a bit squeaky after some time.
